theater reacts to josh brolin coming through the sparkling portal as cable, thanos and llewelyn moss (EPIC)
I agree with this sentiment. I just think this is god awful casting that’s nothing but nostalgia bait.
Yeah but there is history there. That's why Endgame feels rewarding. Most viewers have seen the others films, it's the point of a cinematic universe with an overarching connecting story. Just popping in Doctor Doom randomly after building up Kang won't make the audience feel anything. Making him a Tony Stark variant adds to the multiverse shenanigans and gets the average viewer excited to see the film. And it's kind poetic to end this universe with the guy that started it all since this is a soft reboot
The only thing that was really being built up pre IW was the stones themselves. They became important parts of many of the movies that preceded IW. Literally major plot points. The Average Joe wouldn't know f*** all what glove Thanos grabbed at the end of Ultron. That s*** isn't even explained until Infinty War.
Thanos just became the one who used the stones. If he wasn't written well then the movies wouldn't have worked regardless
If the box office overall made a profit that’s good to me
Ant-Man didn't make profit man it didn't break even. Like. Please do some research before you type up s*** that makes no sense.
Looking back they probably should have soft rebooted after Endgame but you can't predict these things and hindsight is 2020. And multiverses weren't a thing yet in live action it was just Spider-Verse doing thet

So niggas felt something for Thanos because those 3-4 mid credit scenes existed, and without them they wouldn’t have felt anything?
I’m PRETTY SURE, like 98% sure that the reason people felt something is because Thanos killed off a lot of peoples favorites and then in end game they came back and got revenge. I’m PRETTY SURE, the general audience wasn’t thinking “well thank god for that mid credit scene cus now I’m able to feel something”

I also clarified I don’t consider ant man core heroes AT ALL nor is it an AVENGERS MOVIE

It was the start of Phase 5 and included the big bad that they were hyping up for the foreseeable future including being the main billed actor in an AVENGERS movie bro.

Example
Captain America new movie will do well
I wonder how the avengers are even gonna fight Doom. These folks are literal misfits.
Outside of Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange, Thor and maybe Wanda if they bring her up and Shang Chi has those rings none of them stand a chance. What's Sam gonna do? Lol
Tom Holland been Spider-Man for god knows how long and still gonna have to deal with the shadow of RDJ
