X men 97 is insane. They gotta bring back Spider-Man too
Seems like a possibility
Great reception and viewership for this, AND the next and only movie this year is Deadpool & Wolverine which is basically going to be a X-Men circlejerk?
Smart ass move to distance themselves from the rest of the MCU for the year

The MCU should def have some nice momentum by the end of the year because I’m sure the Deadpool movie will be a hit
….but then Cap 4 is the next film and that film has been sounding like a mess
So we’ll see if Feige can save that film from failing
It would be wild if the X-Men ends up being the cash cow for the MCU going forward instead of the other Marvel heroes

I mean that’s the way it should’ve been after endgame anyways. New phases should’ve been F4/Xmen centric with a marvel knights subplot in the background

Yea most definitely. Seems like Feige is finally ready to go all in on F4 and XMen
I really won’t be surprised if they announce an official MCU X-Men film after Deadpool 3 comes out

The only problem with that is that the Fox contract for X-Men is still in place til 2025. So they can’t recast anyone until after then
Hence why we’re getting Deadpool 3 and Secret Wars instead of a full on X-Men reboot
F4 I think is just a matter of them really wanting to get it right so they’ve been taking their time
Plus they really only got the rights to use the characters freely in 2019 after the Fox deal cleared, so it was always going to be some time before they introduced the X-Men and the Fantastic Four

Yea I understand that roadblock which is why I’m part of the camp who thinks the MCU should taken a hiatus after endgame.
All the films dealing with the aftermath of endgame could have been held until 2023-2024. after they got those out the way, that would’ve bought them enough time to introduce x men without all the meandering and filler content we got instead

Wdym? It was always going to be

X-men were bigger than the avengers before disney. But I get what you’re saying . They need to ride the momentum and the reception the animated X-men is getting
Damn

show f***ing sucks
Watching the animated series made me wish we could get a limited series of Professor X and Cyclops recruiting members to join the X-Men
It would come out before the movie and each episode focuses on a new member they’re recruiting till they get their first team. They might want to do origin movies for the popular characters so this could be a way to learn more about the members they have no plans to make movies for and will most likely to get less screen time in a team up movie
xmen is an amazing franchise
Wonder what the last stand woulda have been if superman returns wasn't a thing
This is where I feel disney+ should thrive. Disney specials and shows would make sense for the x men and to flesh them out and give character development

S1 > any marvel movie honestly
It would be wild if the X-Men ends up being the cash cow for the MCU going forward instead of the other Marvel heroes
This was always the expectation
