MCU has just gotten too hard to follow. Even a soft reboot would help refocus the storylines. Maybe something to try when they introduce X-Men and FF.

X-Men & F4 need more focus & not necessarily play into the bigger arc that somehow involves Falcon 2 & Thor or whoever

I kind of feel the opposite, and maybe it’s be being a big fan and a comics fan in general that’s helping me out though.

Like let’s take a look at Fury for example:

After the events of Endgame, Fury goes into space to go work with SABER, somewhere he felt he had a purpose. He recruits Monica to help him in between then and Secret Invasion. He returns to Earth to help out Talos at the request of Hill, beginning his involvement with the rebel Skrulls on Earth. He gets to the bottom of the issue, resolves it, and returns to space (it’s in The Marvels trailer so this part isn’t a spoiler) to broker peace talks between the Kree and the Skrulls so that the Skrulls may finally be able to find a home. The new plot thread of the president waging war against all Aliens is a good one to jump off of for something else, but it’s not my job to know that now.

To me, I don’t think each and every single plot thread in these vast amount of Marvel shows should tie into Kang Dynasty and Secret Wars. Should major things such as the Kang post credits in Ant-Man and Doctor Strange and Clea going to stop incursions play into the next two Avengers? Yes.

I’m looking at this from more of a comics approach I guess. Like not every Marvel character was involved in the Devil’s Reign event from last year. While Spider-Man, Daredevil, and many of the other Earth based heroes were involved with that, the Guardians had no part to play in it. Neither were a lot of the other cosmic heroes.

I’m not trying to draw a 1:1 comparison here but I think that mind set for me, is making things a little easier. To follow in terms of like whatever’s happening to She-Hulk isn’t going to affect what’s happening to Fury. Right now each of these projects are acting like solo books. Some, like Loki and Doctor Strange, are playing into the bigger crossover coming up later. There are plenty of big events in the comics that center only one or two characters or groups. Those mainly being X-Men and Spider-Man events but those events are huge.

Now for Secret Invasion itself, is it a story that should’ve warranted a bigger event? Yes, but the angle they took could’ve worked with the right execution. It’s just that they didn’t nail it in the end.

Also, I don’t think Marvel is expecting everyone to watch every single thing, but it’s kind of their fault that the expectation of people watching everything is built in. Like I have no doubt that the plot threads left in this show wont matter in Kang Dynasty, just like the lingering main plot thread of Iron Man 3 didn’t matter at all in Age of Ultron. Quite honestly, you could’ve skipped Iron Man 3 and went straight to Age of Ultron and nothing would be totally different for Tony.

And maybe that’s just my mindset. Although I feel like things such as Arishem coming to Earth maybe should be addressed soon, not everything has to involve everyone.

TL;DR: A lot of these shows and movies to me are like individual comic runs. Some will play into the Avengers movies and some won’t. It’s not our job to know until they tell us, but it’s kind of the fun in discussing right?

Also I think Marvel and Sony should renegotiate their deal where Marvel assigns someone to run Sony’s s*** so that there can be a true Spider-Man corner of the MCU distributed by Sony and made by Marvel. We should have things like Venom in the MCU but they don’t have to necessarily have major crossover. This dumb multiverse s*** Sony is trying to play with their live action films ain’t it lmao

If you must insist on villain films, make it for ones that matter and who can carry a movie. A Silk movie could work in the MCU inside the Spider-Man corner of the world. We don’t need Ms. Marvel to pop up to say it exists in the same world.

The individuality part is not even bad lmao, it's just that the quality of the shows is not that good. None of the MCU shows are in the realm of stuff like The Boys, Peacemaker, or hell even early CW DC seasons. Loki is the only one which is actually pretty good but I don't think even that compares to the best shows from other studios.

Yeah I don't think it's that hard to follow, wouldn't even mind if they decide to make them more 'solo'.
Feels like these shows are just being used to set up supposedly cool movies that are years away.
They need to make these more meaty and allow them to tell a complete story.

this is what I figure they should do / would do after Secret Wars. let it all reset into one timeline or whatever and create a universe where the x-men seem to have always existed and go from there centering around the x-men including the other heroes as well of course

skrull rhodey fighting in wakanda, going back in time with nebula and fighting thanos makes no sense to me.. also makes iron man's last breath very awkward with a skrull rhodey, spider man and his wife by his side and the funeral
