This was a cool reference. also an unintentional drag of the way this show is shot, no type of framing whatsoever
I really really enjoyed WBN.
In all honesty I'm kind of burned out on Marvel right now, haven't seen Eternals, Ms Marvel nor She Hulk (caught L&T and enjoyed it), but I had nothing to watch so decided to do it.
It's nothing groundbreaking, but doing the simplest practical sets and effects adds so much depth compared to anything else in the MCU.
I know s***ty CGI has been a complaint for the longest, and I usually don't mind it, but releasing 10 projects a year and all of them looking like s*** is gonna burn people out man, so this was a very fresh breath.
Of course Man Thing was CGI, but it was first of all very well done, and it fit the project like a glove. A cool little self contained story, would be killer if they did more of these.
My one wish would be if they shot this on film, but I get the budget constraints.
This is a whole other topic that I hate, they have these overblown budgets, 200/300 million and half of that is salaries, so they try to cut corners on practical effects and sets, and thats why everything looks like s***.
Sorry for the little rant but yeah, this was great, and I can't wait to see how Giacchino's directing career develops.
