CherrywineIdk why people feel obligated to defend these products from critique. We should demand the absolute best from a company that has seemingly infinite resources. Settling for mid because “it’s not that bad” would just make me feel like a mindless consoomer personally but whatever
Then it becomes “just don’t watch” which is true but does nothing to solve the quality issues unless everybody just stops watching. I enjoy QUALITY comic book films and Disney pretty much owns all of the marvel properties. Will quality keep dropping around the time f4 and blade drop? Will marvel do X men justice? Who knows? and As far as Disney is concerned who cares! Fans will gobble it down regardless
I think fans should increase their standards and demand more in all mediums. We deserve the highest quality if they want our money and time. We all know deep down that phase 4 hasn’t been worth either of those for the most part

Appreciation of the art is subjective. Art is judged by how well the artist executes what they’re trying to convey.
If I want to make a statement about civil rights by s***ting in a cup and framing it in epoxy, that’s still not good art.

I think that applies differently to things like music and film tho
Like one person can take what for example the movie Crash is trying to say and see it as super deep and a really good film. Me on the other hand thought it was surface level and average. It's all about perception. If everyone perceived things the same way then everything would be objective.

Am I so wrong for wanting that phase 1/2/3 quality back? I mean obviously I think hulk/blade/Spider-Man films run laps around the mcu but the first 3 phases had a good thing going at least. Phase 4 is just s***ting the bed. You don’t want more from Disney?

I wasnt even trying to get on all of Marvel lmao. This was really just about she hulk and how it's on the veiwer for watching six episodes, thinking the next one is gonna be the one that hits. It's already more than half over. The tone of the show has been set.

It had less duds across all 3 phases than phase 4 alone… plus marvel was trying to find its footing in 1/2 so I cut some slack. It felt like they were trying

It's the TV shows that make it seem like such a mess. Theres only been 6 phase 4 movies. 2 I didnt care for, and 3 that were okay, and 1 i really enjoyed. And I have high hopes for BP to end the phase strong.

Shang Chi underrated. Easily the best fight choreography of any Marvel film. Think the final act made some people roll their eyes though.
