And I've seen it usually worse for daughters, sons tend to get more freedom to do things like hang with friends, stay out late etc

And I think this show did a really great job portraying that biased family dynamic that happens too often

i gotta disagree. a lot of my friends growing up had parents who treated their kids exactly how the parents did in this episode. it’s also pretty comic accurate on how Kamala’s parents treat her.
