I’m glad they didn’t let leakers dictate the teaser. The Wolverine intro is hard, it’s our own fault that we’ve seen so much of him already from unofficial sources.

As soon as you the whole “this was leaked so we need to add something crazier to surprise the super fans” you dig yourself in a hole

Ryan Reynolds literally posted a pic of him in full costume sans mask with Deadpool.

I’m confused wym. I might’ve missed the post but what is this referring to? He posted a pic of the costume after it leaked or something?

I’m not implying it’s a big secret Wolverine is in the movie. It’s more praise from a trailer crafting pov. I heard we most likely got a condensed version of the first act and that’s what a first trailer should be. The tease of his inclusion in the movie was a great introduction to the character. I’m sure we see a lot more footage of him as we get closer but the shot of his shadow standing over Deadpool and him helping him up by stabbing him was dope and something I can imagine being straight out of a comic book. It’s not a surprise reveal, it just hints at what we can expect from their dynamic. It would be a good character intro in the movie too.

TLDR: I’m sure we get more Wolverine in future trailers but as the first trailer it really works as a hint of what’s to come
