All of this multiverse stuff is wacky in the comics, so to link it to the MCU when things are still being written/scripted is terribly frustrating to make senseof it all. Technically, he WAS the grandfather (before a retcon, could be misremembering), but he isn't the grandfather any longer (unless something else happened). I think Wanda had killed her real father and was raised by her uncle/aunt in the change.
