Is this kinda of a one-off story or does it set stuff up for future?
No spoilers
Sets up some s***
They say this
every.
single.
time.
This is the Marvel version of ‘best DC movie since the dark knight’

Seriously, it's been time they stop saying that.
so sad how a good half of marvel movies get so close to being something great but manage to completely waste their potential.
i still have a lot of confidence in this new phase. i think everything going forward is going to be a lot closer to the ilk of loki rather than lukewarm s*** like this but jesus this is really not a good comeback for the first mcu film in two years.
praying feige stops with the hiring of unremarkable directors and writers and keeps up with getting people like mohamed diab and sam rami on board moving forward.

What makes you think they won't drop some mid?

i'm hoping feige has taken a page out of dc's book by seeing how much artists, fans and critics appreciate when a director is given full creative control after seeing how the snyder cut went down.
n i truly don't think diab or raimi would make something they didn't feel was original or worth their time. can't say the same for zhao but she was still a great pick.
now that the infinity saga is complete and the mcu has a goliath fanbase i'm hoping we see more creative free-reign and willingness to experiment without fears of a flop or alienating fans. we're already seeing that with the disney+ s*** they just have to bring that same energy to the big screen.
This movie isn’t as bad as how the internet is making it out to be. I thought Florence Pugh and David Harbour killed it. I do wonder what the reception for the movie would be if they had released it whenever it was intentionally supposed to or after Endgame instead of FFH.

I haven't seen the internet blasting this movie. the reception has been mostly positive in the avenues of the internet I have explored
I am extremely happy with this.
Didn’t feel long. Emotions were great. Action was great. Story was concise and to the point.

Yeah I probably seen the hate in smaller places that don’t really matter like a few tweets and what not.
dont get the hate for taskmaster, wasnt even the main villain
There definitely have been worse villains in the MCU than the ones we got in this movie.
