i dont think either of them are interested in biopics in the traditional sense, goodfellas is a biopic by these standards. especially this one seems right up josh's alley, not sure what to think of the benny one yet.

Smashing Machine is a pretty well known documentary. This one probably has more degrees of freedom, but Chalamet is already Bob Dylan. What's even the benefit of using a real ping pong player? There's no name recognition. It's just IP for IP's sake.
