this movie did nothing for me. it was like uncut gems but the main character is an insufferable entitled dweeb instead of an underdog

$75 million @ the box office is nuts I wrote this post with the prescience this might crack $50 million lmfaoo

ok last talk on numbers

i was thinking after rewatch just yesterday that josh and ronald bronstein should do a dark 1930s american gothic type thriller that feels like the Pen Jilette stuff in this movie. that scary farm house by itself surrounded by corn, Pen holding that shotgun, safdie's insane casting choices leading to a bunch of goated 1930s face guys.

i feel like it would be a cool switch in pace too because it wouldn't be a cluttered busy city setting like good time, uncut gems and marty supreme. instead they could go for something slow tense and scary with individual set pieces that go insane like the dog scenes and the bowling ally scene and the farm house abel ferrera shootout but in the 30s and all in southern farmland gothic type settings

yeah i think he's gonna have to try something new in the next movie or two.

the trilogy-in-spirit of the modern a****** is complete. what else ya got?

I actually wouldn’t have minded that minus the bite. Maybe just a glance and look of recognition. But it would still need some fitting plot point to make it worth filming
