Well, Marty did the final match in a white shirt. So, it's sort of saying that none of that extra s*** really mattered. The orange ball was just a gimmick.

True but remember he mentioned in tennis they wear white because it represents class, and they wore white because it was rockwells event. I just think it was the perfect opportunity to bring the orange ball back on the screen cause what was the point of even mentioning that idea in the movie

I think it ties into the idea of Marty trying to control his life, and control the poor perception of ping pong by being a sort of peacock. Maybe if I make the ball orange people will give me the respect I deserve! It's like him complaining about his hotel room. It's a bid for status. The fact that they get dumped out of a window and never mentioned again is not an accident. It's an intentional subversion. It's saying... you don't get to control the narrative, Marty.
