Can some of you guys maybe explain to me the issue with the current owner? Cause didnt you just get to spend 350 milion in one transfer window?
Dont mean this offensively just genuinely curious
Mainly completely neglecting to invest in Carrington and Old Trafford to the point that the stadium is almost falling apart and will cost billions to renovate now and the fact that they’ve put and kept complete knobheads (like Ed Woodward) in charge of our club that have made horrible decisions on the footballing side of our club. They also put the club in lots of debt while they’re taking dividends out of the club.
a large portion of the fanbase has been against them ever since the takeover because of how that all went down, but they've done more than enough to prove themselves to be s***ty owners regardless of that.
they take 20 million out of the club every year for themselves despite the fact that the club is close to a billion in debt (and we've been in debt ever since they bought us because they didn't use their own money)
they've done nothing to update/upgrade old trafford, or other team facilities
sure they spend on transfers but due to a combination of their own incompetence + the incompetence of the people they put in charge like richard arnold, ed woodward, etc. we don't spend smartly and we have teams like ajax who are bending us over their knee paying double what players are worth, and then leaving us nothing for january. (i'm only using this summer as an example but it's been going on for as long as they've been in around and it's gotten noticeably worse over the past 5-6 years)
they've also done a hilarious amount of bad business not only in terms of transfers but contracts, putting mediocre players on ridiculous wages.
they just don't own the club for the right reasons.
Yeah this exactly
Still I feel like if they put a decent football director in place a decade ago instead of Woodward a lot of our problems could have been avoided. Like we basically wasted our last ten years with coaches past their prime and our last 5 by giving a basically clueless Ole a contract after 8 good games.
i’d take a newcastle win if it meant he gets jumped

athletic reporting that joel and avram don't want to sell. avram in particular has an emotional investment in the club.
F***ing twats

I’d put it as simple as they bought the club purely to make $$$ and not to continue the success that was had in the 90s. They literally did all of it through debt financing, and basically are parasites that suck all profits out of the club to line their pockets, and put in charge an investment banker for the last 10 years that has been very largely responsible for how bad things have gone post fergie.

Yeah basically this
That question should be like the password to get into this thread, please write a 200 word explanation on the glazers
Fml
They would be long gone by now if ETH was a fraud
I think they might be feeling like if we actually win 3 cups this year, the price is going up.

Antony-Bruno-Rashford
Osi?
Diallo-Sancho-Nacho
Martial?
Is pretty deep. Not sure if we can really keep the 3 reserves happy might only be able to have 2 of them around tbh.

Yeah, it’s a little bit awkward, we’ve got a lot of names and it’ll be hard for someone like Amad to even get a chance with so much competition just in quantity.
Rashford - starter 100%
Bruno - starter 100%
Antony — ten Hag’s personal 80m signing, will continue to play a lot
Sancho — will probably get one bite at the cherry next season. If he’s still not imposing himself enough, he’ll probably go then
Garnacho — super sub who offers pace and penetration that only Rashford can - going nowhere
Amad — could deputise at RW and at no.10, but Bruno rarely ever gets (needs) breaks, and Sancho and Antony are already fighting for game time
Elanga — should probably go on loan next season, with a view to a permanent sale year after
Pellistri — as above. Definitely will be gone either on loan or permanently this summer
ngl I'm hoping Arsenal finally playing 2 games a week will take its toll on them. Them f***ers seemingly playing Saturday-Saturday the last two years. Meanwhile United have had to constantly play every three days these last few months cause of the Queen, sociedad refs and cup

Loan Amad to a prem team next season. No point in him warming the bench next season it'd just stunt his growth

Yeah I forgot about pellistri and elanga lol. You’re right I think Sancho is a make or break season next year. Factor in if we sign another mid, Eriksen likely is coming off the bench and he can also play in that 10 role. Pellistri I think could be just as good as nacho but we just do not have the opportunity for him here. He’ll go on to kill it for someone soon.

Yeah agreed, sucks we only have antony as a left footed forward tho.
All we really need to add is a world class striker, a great midfielder and a good centre back and we have some pretty decent depth.

yeah exactly. a CB better than Maguire. idk how timber is doing this season, altho he might be a bit small stature to ever pair with Lisandro.
Christ Liverpool are s***. Least of our worries rn but should be destroying them next week
