It’s his second game playing with Fred Jesus Christ

Got better as the game went on as well

So you want us to sign him permanently? The fundamentals he offers as a central midfielder isn’t anything the club doesn’t lack. He’s not a no.6 who can screen a defence. He’s not a passing maestro who threads it between the lines. He’s not a press resistant midfielder who can drop the shoulder and progress the ball up the field. He’s yet another box to box enforcer who specialises in nothing. We need a midfielder with a different profile.

What’s this pass round the back nonsense as well

Massive result with the way we played there

Just hope he does a good job while we have him tbh

He would be a great squad player, he actually has a lot of what erikson can do with a bit more about him defensively

It’s 2 games you haven’t seen enough of him to judge him so quick, average reactionary fan prolly the first to jump on the Garnacho hate too foh

No idea where Sabitzer is on the pitch and what he's doing. Seriously

Definitely has qualities, but he and Fred are just not compatible positionally imo

It’s literally because Maguire is playing, we never do this with Martinez and Varane in the back

  • Feb 12, 2023

Weghorst is a better 10 than Bruno

I’m ignoring the moronic last part of your post, because room temperature IQ doesn’t normally merit a response from me.

I’m judging the fundamentals of his midfield performances. I’m judging this, in unison with his stats over the past 365 days, in unison with commentary made about the player by Bayern Munich fans who watch him week in week out.

Was anything I said in my original post incorrect? No. Is Sabitzer a box to box enforcer - jack of all trades, master of none? Yes.

Will he look better beside Casemiro? Almost certainly, yeah. As would virtual any central midfielder around. But that doesn’t mean we should sign him.

I don’t know why you’re failing to grasp what I’m saying here. I don’t think Sabitzer is a poor player. Our midfield has a massive flaw in that it has nobody who can play a strong short pass game, under the pressure, or carry the ball from deep. Sabitzer offers none of that. For those reasons, I do not want him to be signed permanently. I’m happy we signed him as cover on loan, as we desperately needed the body.

Does that make sense? Maybe read it over a few times.

EDIT: on the squad player point. Unless the Qatari’s come in and give us an endless pot of money, signing Sabitzer as a squad option makes little sense. We need to pool our resources together to sign a guaranteed quality no.8 instead of spending bits and pieces on cover

What a match. Leeds away always fiesty. Thought Sabitzer was huge today always in the mix, good under pressure too. Licha huge off the bench. Rashford what else is there to say holy f*** even that offside goal in 90th - lad is playing ballon dor caliber football. Nacho big time too. Love this team. ETH playing Werghorst behind rashford and Bruno out wide mad genius.

    2nd place temporarily 🥵

I’m not reading all that, all I know is it’s 2 games and your judging him

plus wtf has Bayern got to with it? Players perform differently in different teams, leagues under different managers, he was one of Leipzig’s best players when they were over performing it didn’t work out at Bayern so what. He looks a solid player that will do well for us and right now is our 2nd best midfielder available not including Bruno

If Pep wasn't trolling last week they'd be ahead of Arsenal already. Fine by me though, keep the delusion of a United title race alive

Yeah Fred is similar altho I think Sabitzer is slightly better. But don’t need another slightly better Fred need like real progressive type of mids instead over the summer.

Tbf it just doesn't work with Maguire or AWB playing as we've seen in a few games recently. With LICHA and Varane it's okay.
