Btw even my user name…if you don’t know, Kobe (and Nike) came up with black mamba to deflect from Kobe being on trial for rape (and cheating on wife).
so is it a case of them falling for fake news or hating women... or i guess a combination of both?
It's a case of just looking for engagement on twitter
A good PR run can fix anything. Just know that, we as humans, love nothing more than a good comeback. It’s engrained in our DNA.
So, if he wants to play PL football, he can absolutely create a positive comeback narrative with his girlfriend, family, and himself. It’s not rocket science, just basic understanding of people and how to create good storyline.
In the moment it might look bad, but again, our psychology is to forgive and time does that automatically.
I’m not in PR, but every celebrity I look at, when they get in trouble, they have the right PR expert to bring them back. F*** look at Kanye he’s been cancelled 20 times and comes back. Andrew Tate. Bieber. OJ is on national tv every week. Tiger.
This is different to all of those, but also every situation is different - they all share the same process to recover trust, and they are all solvable.
If you believe that, sure. I just sure hope it isn’t at the football club I support
Lmao why is Justin Bieber comparable to human traffickers and murderers?

what is there to believe? every single famous person that did some s***, eventually got back on the right side of media.
isn't really a believe or not, just the way it ended up playing out.
and Bieber got a s*** load of press and hate when he was younger, pretty much same as Ye. the comparison is, as I wrote, about recovering their good standing in society.
even Kanye, will absolutely get back from this jewish stuff (& im jewish).

Tate and OJ are on weird podcasts and Piers Morgan, not playing for Manchester United. Kanye, Bieber, Tiger etc. weren't committing proper crimes besides DUIs.
Obviously there are other sports players that got away with allegations but those videos and pictures are going to blow away any PR they try.

Yes perhaps, but I would say those figures had equally important contacts and sponsorships.
Im sure there is a PR firm rn figuring out the exact strategy to recover from this. its there job to find the angle and overcome images/videos/etc.
perhaps it hasn't been done b4, but those other issues say even Kobe early 2000s, was a new type of problem at its time.
we're just debating 'what if's' here.
no pt, all I have to contribute is what I see in celebrity cases from the last 30 years.
we'll see how it plays out over the next 10 years with mason. ultimately starts with having a deep desire to get back, without that nothing will get done.

Believing he can come back “play PL football, and create a positive comeback narrative”. The uproar if he stays at Manchester United will be massive. More than you believe. We’re not all wankers like Gary Neville

what did Gary neville do?
why does it matter what I believe tho, I believe based on what I see in history. if this was 1995 I would not believe it because I haven't seen it b4. however, I see a path for recovery with what I understand about past situations.
uproar will be massive or it might not be. again, I propose that he does have the ability to create a comeback that shifts the narrative into a different context.
look, we're just talking what if's. who knows. but if I was in PR, for sure id be pitching and crafting a solution, its an entire industry to diffuse uproar and 'win' back the public.
@Grenouille I think you're confusing our discussion being about morals or ethics. im not participating in that here, and will never weigh in on those subjects in a football forum. all my posts are what I predict as being the outcome, morality aside.
cheers 👇 spot on
With new owners coming in, the decision to either bring Greenwood back for next season or sell will be answered then. For now, he should just train and wait for his future. I would expect Man Utd to tell Mason to give up a certain percent of his wages to organizations against abuse. I feel for Ten Hag though. Dealing with so much in his first season

I doubt it’ll even be a ‘MU telling Mason’, I think it’ll be very mutual as both Mason and MU will co-create the optimal way to reinstate him. Unless of course MU doesn’t want to do that work, and Mason doesn’t care enough. 50-50 imo.
Like new owner could just not want to budge at all.
But if some expert says yo Mason if you give up 100% of your wages the rest of your contract to support groups, and you and that gf get engaged, and you do these press runs, we’ll win back 70% of the media/public, then that’ll just be the strategy.
This Mason topic is moot, won’t know anything for months.
Also ETH birthday today, gaffer is off to the best start of any MU mgr ever.

There’s also a possibility that Mason might not even want to return at all. He could view the lack of support during the whole thing (rashy & other players unfollowing him/posting pictures with their significant others), plus public support from the club as enough to want out.
Pogba back on a free ??
