i know antony is much more of a proper winger than gakpo but i still really dont get why they chose him over gakpo in the summer tbh

gakpo had way better numbers in netherlands and is half the price of antony + ajax tax

i understand why they went for antony with ten hag in charge and antony fits the position better but 100m still seems too much to me to this day when gakpo was a way cheaper alternative

Don’t see Thuram happening tbh, United need a real number 9. And even though I really like Felix as a player he isn’t really that (I’d take him on a loan tho, especially because we have no stand in for Bruno either atm). The problem for us currently is that most teams don’t want to sell a good striker mid season, because having one can literally be the deciding factor in winning a league, getting CL or fighting relegation etc.

Vlahovic is interesting because Juve is in financial trouble so he could be a great opportunity for us. Toney could’ve been another affordable one if he didn’t f*** up with gambling. For the rest I don’t see real targets we could get this winter. I can also see us signing no one till the summer tho, but we would basically be throwing this season in the bin.

I can understand why we might not have gone for him but he'll do good for Liverpool for sure. If we get an actual striker in then it's no big deal but if they don't
