This one is on Ole and our defence too, shocking and a nightmare from Lindelof. We didn't have a good pre-season so hopefully things shake up a little and we get on track but not signing anyone will make it clear we ain't fighting for much other than top 5 which is probably going to be hard to get into this season.

A lot of this depends on long term strategy and decent scouting instead of last minute desperate transfers which always up the price big time

if Chelsea had de gea they'd challenge for title I think. but yeah you could see the vision of Chelsea. they got all of their first choice targets right away. havertz came later but even that we knew they'd get it done.

Very true but thats also because they had 6 managers in 5 years. They gave Lampard the job and had to put faith in him. So they surrounded him with experienced people and added footballers in the management team (Makelele, Cech - like Bayern and Ajax). The transfer ban also gave them a good opportunity to take previous season for what it is and prepare for a new window. I think they handled that really well and United should learn from this.

20 would be a decent price I guess, haven’t seen him play so don’t know if he’s any good tho. Still need a cb and a winger. A defensive mid also necessary but can’t ask for too much. Every game with either Pereira or James starting is a lost one imo.
