Seems like pretty basic demands for any top manager
You say that but look at us post Fergie, so many unnecessary signings purely for marketing purposes, shirt sales, and to prove that we can still bring in top talent (even when they don't fit our system)

agree, seems like were trying to repeat the RVP-style impact with no thought to long-term squad management or wages

Sanchez
Falcao
Cavani
Bastian
The only one that really worked was Zlatan for a short time
Gotta stop buying these world class players nearing on retirement
Sounds exciting, heard comparisons to Cavani?

I thought he was the next aguero?
Sounds like the sort of ST we should be looking at
Think I’d rather Kane for that much though. We signed Sancho for around the same who was far more established, same age, better league etc.

Tbh you could throw Pogba into that list, we never really had a system that worked for him

di maria -> although he was still good after leaving us, we just didnt utilize him great and he never was meant to play in the PL

even RVP was like that, but he had proven PL experience, was coming off his best season, and was a good fit with Rooney. we had a system/plan that made sense under SAF.
The best appointment we probably could’ve made. But he is only one man and he only isn’t going to instantly transform us. It’ll be gradual.
