here's my proposal:

internationals should be twice a year. January and June. both months just pack all the games you need into there. way more hype around it this way too you can plan things out. every other June is the regular euro/wc/copa america. January will be qualifying for all those comps.

then have actual club competitions go without any internationals from September to December and February to May.

2 four month blocks for clubs, 2 months for country, 2 months holiday for everyone.
