Give it time. Been as chaotic a start as can be

LUHG twitter had their fun in the sun, but yeah, the Telles / Dalot combo isn’t good. Who knew?

Those who can't do teach. Is anyone shocked that a guy who's only managed in small pockets here and there for the past decade isn't hitting the ground running? He's an evaluator not a tactician

Crap performance, players need to be cut and Ralf needs to make big changes

Some players don’t cut it at the top level, if we want to be at the top level with the best teams, then get in better players and dump the dead weight

    If he continues to:
    A. Persist with a formation that doesn’t suit his team; and
    B. Persist with massively underperforming players (Bruno; Rashford; Ronaldo).

Then I see no significant changes.

Yeah I’m not impressed so far, no different to the squad that was picked by Carrick

Did anyone actually expect a quick-fix from Ralf? Anything higher than 4th is a pipe dream at this point. Rest of the season will be devoted to figuring out which players should remain here long-term

Obviously new coach won’t make an immediate impact but man. We have world class players, a new coach, pretty much everything we’ve wanted for years on paper. And we’re still simply not good

Sad we might lose cavani. Best leader we have.

No formation suits this team, people really don't realise how poorly Ole recruited.

United legit don't have world class players, Luke Shaw was probably the closest, and he's form's fallen off a cliff. This is on top of a squad that's been poorly planned and not really geared to play any one way,in the worst way possible.

No denying that the side is terribly imbalanced, but managers worth their salt make proper calls.

The Pep’s and Klopp’s of the world would just never play a front 4 that we started with tonight. It was in a 4222 but fundamentally it was 2 wide forwards who don’t press; a second striker disguising himself as a no.10; and a 37 year old poacher who has no desire to play build-up.

It’s just basic common sense problems that saw the downfall of Ole and if Rangnick continues it will be the same for him.

I mean, fair enough, the guy is an interim coach and he’s literally never managed anything bigger than an Energy drink company, but these just don’t seem like massively complicated solutions.

If he wants to press from the front foot (something we’ve only seen for 30 mins vs Palace), start players like Cavani and Elanga. Players who fit a cohesive system > actual individual player quality. If he wants to play with two wide no.10’s, Bruno just can’t fit. He can’t run with the ball. If he wants his fullbacks to be massively important, Luke Shaw has to play.

Ronaldo, Varane, Bruno are all world class. Sancho, Greenwood, Rashford are among the best young players in their age group. Even if you disagree with all this, we shouldn't be getting outplayed by the teams that have been outplayed us frequently

Rashford is 24 and it looked like he only got worse over time. honestly i think he goes down the same path as martial. Greenwood and Rashford are basically the same players too. they are too focused on running and shooting. the only thing that is helping greenwood is his better technique. Honestly i have lost my faith in Rashford.

He's playing s*** but he still has skills that can make him dangerous. He just always tries to do more than he's capable of. Need a coach to help him with decision making because clearly its not something that he can learn on his own.

yea thats the thing. Rashford might be great in counters, but in small areas where he either needs passing or technique he always fumbles. and especially yesterday the four attacking players were all standing near each other. There is no way he would shine in such a formation/playing style.

Tbf he has a certain style of play that he sticks to and he hasn't been at the club long enough to know the players that suit that style of play.

Still remember that 19/20 season where he and Martial where a duo. He also had chemistry with Shaw. They'd play one twos with each other and he didn't struggle as much in tight spaces because of that chemistry

yeah one thing i noticed yesterday(and a lot of other matches) was that when someone has the ball nobody tries to make space. they only rely on kick and rush type of play when someone goes deep. but almost no combinations especially not on the midfield area. Thats one thing you learn as a youth. Moving and try to make space when a teammate has the ball. How are they not doing it smh
