The only manager I could see coming in midseason for United is Poch, because it’s not that good his relationship with PSG. We’ve been in contact with him for ages, he suits this current squad to a tee.

Would prefer Ten Hag tbf but I guess we'll see.

If it's still Ole at the start of next season

can't see conte and levy having a long lasting marriage

18 month contract it speaks for itself, but he will be considered one of the greatest if he can win them a major trophy conference league LMAOOO

Conte was essentially begging to join Man United and now he's headed to the single other club that's deeper in no man's land than them.

Nostalgia is this club's number 1 commodity

Arsenal ain’t gonna last, they’ll be screaming for Arteta’s head by January/February again. Then he’ll do something decent again at the end of the season which saves him and the cycle goes on. We’re doing the same just at a slightly bigger level.

I don't get it. I'm unsurprised by Ole's friends in the media shifting all the blame for the club's misfortune on Paul Pogba and co. but then you have Fergie stopping by and using his clout to save him and the all apparent leaks from the boardroom about how split the club is with the next steps.

All this to prove that Manchester United isn't like all the other top clubs. It's an institution that respects the manager and his philosophy. Players are interchangable but the manager is supposedly still a long-term investment at a time where they've never been more disposable.

This club needs a strong personality as their manager that can tell all the buzzards with history at the club to piss off and turn the page. Conte fits like a glove but he's rightfully taking his sights elsewhere given that the club cares more about the appearance of tradition than showing any signs of forward-thinking

It should tell you everything after seeing Gary Neville spout his propaganda drivel about the United way, that when Ole was with his back against the wall he played 5 at the back with 2 senior strikers and over 300m on the bench.

The club is a walking contradiction right now

“Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has now outlasted:

3 Barcelona managers 3 Real Madrid managers 3 Juventus managers 2 Chelsea managers 2 Bayern Munich managers 2 Arsenal managers 3 Spurs managers 2 Inter managers 1 PSG manager

These clubs combined, have won 27 trophies during Ole's time in charge.”

In fairness with the trophies it's across 9 teams over 3 seasons. Some of those teams being more or less guaranteed silverware.
Osama bin Tuchel winning Ligue 1 with PSG is hardly the same as if Ole were to win the Prem against the two best managers in football.

Not a united fan, nor do I think Ole is that great a manager, he was somewhat right when he said trophies are for egos. Get over the trophies for now, United are still a long way from being consistent challengers for the biggest prizes. A manager needs time to build his team, and I'm not saying that has to be Ole, how united have handled their recruitment have been Barcelona levels bad in terms of team building. The ethos around the club is still too hung up on Fergie, despite him playing such a massive part in this mess.

@DwindlingSun who do you see being the most likely coach to come in if we ever sack Ole?

Think it’s down to Poch, Rodgers or Hag

Has Poch hinted at wanting to leave PSG? I haven't really kept up with them, beyond watching the game against City, but my understanding was they're doing alright - top of the league. Anyone correct me if im wrong.

Seems like it would be a perfect place for him. The one thing Levy never did was properly back Spurs. In PSG you will absolutely get backed. Has a chance to win the CL with them and get that 'history' and status.

Im hopeful that the board and all will get that the majority of fans dont want Rodgers and still associate him with Liverpool. Perhaps misguided optimism though and they just see him as a safe pick with domestic experience who will acquiese easily enough.

Praying they're fully focused on Ten Hag and hence why they didnt go for Conte. Cant imagine Sir Alex and David Gill havent bumped into him at UEFA meetings and the like. Or spoken with VDS about him. Plus hopeful that if they truly do believe in our core - attacking football, youth - they'll recognise he's the best fit.

Really really want him. Strongly reckon that if Pep was to leave City tomorrow, they would go for him. And even so if there were more managers available. Rate the guy very highly.
