Of the 16 games Carrick was in charge last season, we gave up at least two goals in 7 of those games.

Of the 16 games Carrick was in charge last season, we scored a winner in the final 15 minutes in 5 of those. If you expand that out to include draws and final 20 minutes, that number jumps to an incredible 8. Half of his games.

We never dominated. We had control in only a very few games. It was luck. It was never sustainable, but we were able to stay in games until the end because the previous manager had the squad capable of doing so.

With the fitness strategy employed by Carrick, or lack thereof that he instilled over the Summer (as confirmed by Tielemans) it’s not at all a surprise that we’re terrible.

He never should have been given the job.

Spot on but everyone was giddy because football is only the finishing result and not anything else around it

  • You do have to let him go now. Can't get blown away like this every match without scoring

He’s not going anywhere until the break lol

Crazy because it was so obvious after the first int break. Like so so obvious.

Had a whole 3 week cushion to make a smooth transition.

This is all cute but at the end of the day he made the best of a s*** situation (from 15th btw) got the results which is all he was employed to do, to save our season

No one expected him to do what he did, he earned the chance. But then got absolutely shafted in the transfer window, wasn't backed at all. we start the season without a striker which has a knock on effect for the whole team plus our defence being absolutely shocking. Like it's all good saying he shouldn't have got the job but who else lmaooo??? The manager market was dead outside of Enrique. It was Carrick or Southgate

  • Fans will still cheer for Carrick, Ineos just waiting for us to get bored and start booing him to make the sacking easier for them

    spineless c***s

  • Neville will be enjoying this

He didn’t take over a 15th place team, he took over a team in 6th that was level on points with 5th place.
