Forgot cavani was 7, and 11 was taken. I guess 17 was an option would’ve been better than 25

    They should have retired 25

    Warning: Cursed Image

If you're curious how Rashford winds up at City this transfer window it's because that twat Bartomeu decides he's going to run his election campaign by pledging to sign him, which in turn wrecks the core of youth that you've spent two seasons bringing through. So you proceed to immediately transfer list Rashford and the only club with the funds to buy him is obvs Oil City. And thus you cry because you can never forget that in this world Rashford is playing for City..

I love you Rashy, but its Pedri and Fati down the wings for this decade

Sad! My craziest thing was Spurs getting relegated under Mourinho and I bought Kane for cheap.

Okay so it sounds like Pogba is gone. We better replace him and sign a real DM too

Think it will just be a DM tbh

Bruno-Fred/VDB/McTom-New DM isn’t terrible as long as the DM can pass from deep.

Why extend Ole’s contact now when this is literally his make or brake season. If we get the right signings and don’t perform this year it’s entirely his fault imo.

Who is a Pogba replacement tho? I could only see someone like Kessie or Goretzka tbh

    Yeah this.

Pogba, in his very best position and role, already got replaced when we bought Bruno. Then we just found ourselves fitting him in where we could.

We need a DM who is very good at ball progression from our own half. Then we can break up McFred and transition to a 4-3-3.

What kind of player would you want instead of him if we also get a dm. (Not Donny). I think we need someone in midfield who can kick an actual ball. Someone like Goretzka is physically strong but is also very good on the ball.

I read a very good a***ysis the other day on what exactly we need - a defensive midfielder who excels at build-up and forward progression, not ball winning. It's what McFred should be good at and doing, but in reality they're not, so our cb's have to or Bruno has to come deep.

That kind of player is basically in the Kimmich (at Bayern) mould.

Unfortunately I really don't know who that player is. I don't think its Goretzka, I think he is more about breaking up play, could be completely wrong though, just an assumption. I think Camavinga could be moulded into that but isn't out and out gonna provide that. I don't think its Rice, especially at 80m. I do think Neves is a good shout. Kessie was quality both times when we played Milan. Seems he could do it all.

Edit: I would still take Goretzka in a heartbeat, im sure he is more than good enough on the ball. I think him and Kessie do similar things, workhorse kinda midfielders.

Look at 00:52 here, this is where the best in the world are looking for the forward pass but McFred are 100% just passing sideways. And, in fairness to Pogba, he was one who could spot and play these passes.
