I have no idea how good Sancho actually is tbh. Haven’t seen him play much and although he has great stats, they don’t mean s*** cus he plays in a farmers league.
would you say the same for haaland? go look at the players in the euros. good players come from every league.

No I don’t say he isn’t good, just that i haven’t seen him play much. I saw Haaland play in the CL last season during which period Sancho was injured. I just have flashbacks from mkhitaryan who also had 40 G/A at Dortmund when he came to us and look how he turned out.

mkhi and kagawa just weren’t that good. but fair if you havent seen sancho play
He’s not a ‘proper right winger’, he’s a playmaking winger who plays either side. He’s very good on the right, sure, but he’s even better on the left. His game time for Dortmund is split between the two positions. 70 games on the right, 55 on the left.
“Why did we sign him then” — because he’s one of the best wingers in world football.
Again, as I’ve said, we’ll see if I’m correct on this later in the season. I appreciate this is seen as a bit of a hot-take as everyone’s priority has been to get a RW since about 2013, but I’m fairly confident on my assertion here.
Your assertion is nonsensical.
Rashford is dramatically less effective on the right and Sancho is effective on either wing. It doesn't make any sense to move Rashford to the right wing to accommodate Sancho. There's nothing to accommodate.
Cavani struggles with two games a week, so naturally him and Greenwood will just rotate up top. I'm sure Greenwood will play games at right wing too, likewise Sancho at left. But its just common sense that the intention is Rashford down the left and Sancho down the right. I'm not sure why you think you're onto some genius 4d chess move here.

God, this is like drawing blood from a stone.
I know the INITIAL INTENTION is to play with Rashford on the left and Sancho on the right. I am not disputing this at all. We will absolutely start the season and Ole's plans will be with this in mind.
But Jadon Sancho plays his best football down the left hand side. Jadon Sancho is a superior player to Marcus Rashford, and will at some point take that position as first choice left winger.
Marcus Rashford will then have to battle for spots at LW, but more likely, down the right hand side against Greenwood. Greenwood is a better right winger than Marcus Rashford, hence why I have stated it is MY OPINION that we will END THE SEASON with a front 4 of Cavani; Sancho, Fernandes, and Greenwood.
This isn't 'genius 4d chess moves' (I leave those to you and your circulating the side around Donny van de Beek). It is simply a***ysis from watching the player and watching our team.
Emphasis added so you hopefully understand now. This will be my last post on the topic, because I really don't know how many times I can repeat this.

Adding emphasis has not made it easier to understand no.
It's just a stupid suggestion.
You're acting like there's some gulf in quality between Sancho playing on the left versus the right when there's not.
Stats for the right: 70 games / 24 goals / 36 assists
Stats for the left: 45 games / 20 goals / 23 assists
If you can play Sancho on the right and get great performances from him, and you can play Rashford on the left and get great performances from him, then anyone with half a brain would simply do that.

👌
Wherever Sancho plays I’m happy with a new signing. If we end the summer with this squad:
de Gea
AWB-Varane-Maguire-Shaw
Goretzca-Pogba
Sancho-Bruno-Rashford
Cavani
Henderson
Dalot-Lindelof-Bailly-Telles
Fred-McTom
Greenwood-VDB-James
Martial
I’d be happy. Varane and Goretezca have done it at the biggest levels we need some more winning mentality experience in the team.

Varane winning experience is essential to our team, don’t understand why people don’t rate him highly
Rashford x Sancho interchanging on the wings
Sancho being able to play across the attack
RW, LW or even CAM
get Varane at CB and a quality midfielder for the pivot and we can go far
Goretzka is probably just namedropping us to get a new contract at Bayern — they have a pretty strict wage cap and he wants a lot more parity to the level he plays at.

I’d be kind of surprised if we buy another player after Sancho + Varane, tbh. Would mean the Glazers are really backing Ole.
Sancho + Varane is about £120m net + about 500k added to the wage bill.
Unless we got some big outgoings (I only see Lingard, Pereira, and maybe Matic) I don’t think we’ll spend too much more.
Fingers crossed I’m wrong though, we really need another midfielder.

The Glazers are on an apology tour right now and I think even they know that the Sancho transfer won't appease many people after everything that's happened with it
It's also worth noting that United's three biggest transfer windows AFAIK are from seasons when they had just missed the CL, each cracking the 160m mark (very little sales too iirc). For the Glazers the threat of being forced to sell the team is probably bigger than the threat of missing out on CL money for two years in a row. £170m or more is on the table imo but it might just be optimism
