Still think our squad isn’t too bad at all. We just really need a quality midfielder and some fullbacks. It’s a shame INEOS is sitting on their hands because if you bring those in we’re very well positioned to get CL football next year, which will make those signings a lot cheaper in hindsight as well.

It's lacking any sort of depth and I don't think INEOS will do enough in the summer to help that if we do get European football

Collyer and the two fletchers are clearly physically good enough but just need experience and game time.
Ugarte is okay off the bench.
Let’s say Casemiro Ugarte goes and Collyer just never makes it.
That leaves Bruno and Kobbie
Breaking the bank for Anderson and getting at least one Madrid midfield reject isn’t too bad at all. Fletcher brothers can be ready to step in for cup games and when we are short.
Thats 4 good to world class options in midfield and 2 reserve options with unknown potential.

Casemiro - Mainoo - Fernandes as a three is probably a top 4-6 midfield but it’s far from perfect
Our midfield makeup is:
Fernandes (world class no.10); Mainoo (super talent CM but with some visible flaws to his game — mobility and passing range); Casemiro (occasionally shows his class and he’s an aerial and duel monster but he’s 33, mobility issues and his passing whilst progressive is very erratic. Will struggle massively once we’re back in Europe and he’s not only playing once a week)
The others aren’t even worth mentioning. Ugarte is raw sewage ass; Fletcher’s aren’t ready; Collyer failed to make a mark at West Brom. He wasn’t even highly rated at youth level either just ten Hag/Amorim like him because he can run a lot
Mainoo and Fernandes are must keeps. Casemiro I would let go, but I can see some logic in retaining. Sell Collyer and Ugarte.
