They’re lucky i don’t run a club, I would’ve sacked him immediately after the EL Final
15th & tanking the season to then not win vs Spurs, sackable stuff
It's disgusting and anyone celebrating this is a f***ing idiot
The next manager will be a specially recruited yes man so a former Blackburn winger can dictate and pull the strings from the shadows
Dark dark times ahead
The guy won 15 PL games in 14 months. Let’s be waking up & smelling the coffee.
Fascinating to see Mainoo coddled like a baby for the exact actions Garnacho was scolded for
Get rid asap
As a professional footballer getting paid a hundred thousand pounds a week all you have to do is shut up and play football, you're not a freedom fighter for not being picked by a certain manager, it's ridiculous
Work harder and shut up

That's not why he was sacked and if you can't see that you need more than coffee to wake you up

Yep. Far too protected. Get rid

Such as?
Acting like a whiny b**** on social media for one
Wait what did Kobbie post? I missed this
Wait what did Kobbie post? I missed this
He's liked a post about Amorim and his coaching staff getting a pay out in a collection of other posts of similar tone
Not the first time either, exact sort of snide s*** Garnacho used to do and fans were on him for it
have you watched the last 60 games under lasso? I guess it can be worse, but we already finished 15th. very hard to be worse.
I know. I can just imagine, in typical United fashion, things further escalating downhill
Wait what did Kobbie post? I missed this
dude you gotta just smile and wave (aka block) nothing makes sense unless you realize this is someone that will find any reason to root for Amorim above everything else.
I know. I can just imagine, in typical United fashion, things further escalating downhill
relegation is the only thing left, but thats too far unlikely. otherwise Ruben did it all. s***ty football -> check. no progress in 1.5 years -> check. losing a record # of games -> check. negative GD -> check. idk there's probably a whole bunch around like 1 win in 10 games and so on. I think casual folks dont realize how bad it got......it's been dark, really dark. no other post-SAF manager hit even 25% of these lows.
"nothing to deal with"
A Blackburn winger trying to do your job from the shadows is probably a little something at least
But that's not even what went on. The reports, and yes they are reports that obviously stem from the club, but nonetheless do not seem contradictory with what logic we already have available, spell out the following:
We draw against Fulham back in August. In their post match interviews, Fulham explain how easy we are to exploit. Vivell hears this and gets annoyed to the club leadership. The seed is planted that we are a predictable, one-tone team.
Everton happens. Everyone is fuming that we never adapted to them being a man down.
Ruben says I want Semenyo. Board say, where will he play, you don't use wingers? Ruben says, ok i'll play with wingers now.
Newcastle at home. Rumours have been swirling that with AFCON too, Ruben will switch things up. He does, we play 4-2-3-1 and win with an elusive clean sheet.
Semenyo picks City. Ruben rages.
Wolves at home. Everyone expects the 4-2-3-1 again, why wouldn't we play it. Everyone transfers Dorgu into their FPL. But Ruben can't resist self immolation. We draw. Board rages.
Wilcox goes to Ruben, why not the 4-2-3-1 again mate? We just won with it. Amorim tells him to f*** off back to Blackburn.
Wilcox and Berrada decide Ruben's charming candor has run its course.
Leeds away. Ruben persists with his system, draws and has a go at everyone.
We know Ratcliffe publicly backed Ruben. We have never known Ruben to waver from his system outside of Newcastle (he's switched it up in some second halfs, but never started a game with 4 atb). Despite how s*** we have been for over a year, despite the media pressure, never once has Wilcox, etc seemingly suggested he change things besides this one instance. When they did suggest he change things, which he did do regardless of not having Semenyo in, we managed to notch an important win. When they naturally expected that positive signal to continue, Ruben reverted and notched a draw against the epitome of abysmal sides.
Doesn't seem to me like Wilcox was trying to his job, just dealing with an increasingly volatile saboteur who we all have known time and again to be overly emotional and hot-headed.
In the end mans was begging for the sack.

cant believe you still give kop your effort, meanwhile he'll just tell you to f*** off or call you a wet wipe for being logical.
btw liverpool fans I know would like slot sacked, so we may be in big competition with them come May to get a top target.
interesting read espn.com/soccer/story/_/id/47512319/manchester-united-fire-ruben-amorim-analysis-reaction
agree with the last bit although obvious:
"Ferguson would often say that the biggest personality at any club had to be the manager and that is even more the case at United. It is an alpha football club, but with nobody fitting that description in the manager's office or above him. And that's what United need now: somebody with the ego and the credentials to handle the noise, the former players and the demand for results and stylish football.
Nobody has done that since Ferguson, and the time is now for that to change."
the moment Ruben name checked neville I knew it was over. when you let random media stuff get to you, its so over. or you gotta go full nuclear on them like prime Mou or SAF would.
man I cant believe we did 60 games of 3 at the back maguire on the ball half the game. we'll look back at this in a few years and laugh it off.

He was not begging for the sack he was sticking to the principles that got him hired by the club by the people that then sacked him for doing so, you can say he was stubborn to do so but you need to be stubborn as the gaffer at a big club, if he had've found a calmer tone and found some middle ground with it he might've had more time
As much as I think with more time and investment it would've worked out for Amorim, there's no point litigating it any further what's done is done and we should move forward and make better long term consistent decisions that align with the hierarchy (director of football and director of recruitment...)
its probably going to take at least a month to undo whatever Ruben did in training, but I hope fletcher gets back to 4 atb from the jump.

crazy that we sacrificed our entire squad to be built around this stupid formation and have no wingers but here we are. or that we signed mbeumo knowing him and amad would be going to African euros together for a month.

Pretty succinct recap of the INEOS briefings put out to save face today, well done
the football been so bad that I stopped paying attention to pressers for most part and stopped following daily stuff, but what was that thing about amass and him criticizing him yet he won potm for his on loan club the prev month? Bunch of weird stuff going on with rube that would get more noise if the football didn't do most of the talking.
