MAMBA I got love for you but you really do give too much credit to ex players/Man United figureheads. None of them are worth listening to when it comes to the present and future of the club.

They're critical to us though, and they rightfully should be.
A lot of other teams don't have legends like we do. And the minute we disrespect them or sideline them we lose what is the fabric of this club and why, despite how s*** we've been for a decade plus now, we still retain fans and status: our unique, fairytale history.

Nicky Butt and Paul Scholes are genuinely advocating for Roy Keane to be manager man. There's nothing good about that bullshit

So who is right then? We’ve had 13 years of mostly mediocre football and bad to meh seasons. Why not just try to find someone that fits dna first and foremost? Ruben was never going to be the right guy. Nor was Jose despite my admiration for his s***housery. I think our principles needs to be required for appointment going forward. Which is to say we can be adaptable to play 442 433 4231 whatever. But it has to be attacking football. You don’t think our past managers were flawed to begin with due to incompatibility with who united is versus say a Chelsea or Barca?

It would never be Roy because there's too much friction, but I would be pretty thrilled if it was. He comes off a hell of a lot more mature and calm and insightful than he was.
The team can perform, they don't need someone drilling them, they're not headless chickens out there. They just need a manager who can motivate them for 6 months to go out and give every game their best shot. And play 4-2-3-1.
Imagine having Roy Keane training with you, talking to you, leading you out the tunnel for 6 months. The roar of the crowd every game because Keano's on the touchline. That's the absolute dream. Every United player and fan should and would have goosebumps. How can you not want that.
This raises the question.
Are all good managers atleast moderately good looking?
Can extend that to any facet of life really. We as humans naturally have some level of bias to more conventionally attractive people

I want it, at least for 6 months till season ends. Idk who wouldn’t enjoy that, we’re going nowhere anyway this year might as well enjoy the quotes and laughs.
When did Mbeumo turn s***? Mount's been back to his best this season after his injury struggles. Yoro is what you would expect of most 20 year olds, really good some games, struggles others. De Ligt has been world class this season. Amad is a special little player. Lammens looks like a top find.
This squad is not s***. It's a really nice interim role if you ask me, just stick them in a 4-2-3-1 and chill. None of these players look miles off the pace, nobody looks broken-spirited, they just look restrained and neutered and a little fed up with a manager who has become increasingly volatile and incoherent in his words and tactics.
Any interim that comes in just needs to give them some freedom and faith. Players like those listed all have top mentalities, they can and do and have been performing as best they can.
And it might be 6th but it's 6th with 3 points separating us from 12th and 17 separating us from 1st.
Amorim didn't excel at anything. Our defence looked better but it's not like we ever kept any clean sheets. Sure we had more possession but we didn't create anything cutting with it. He was just a meh manager, boring and uninspired. The game against Everton summed up what you get and what you will always get; stubborn, risk-averse, outwitted. He's not got what it takes to be United Manager, never did and never would.
Scumbag didn't even quit as he always liked to promise. Intentionally picked a fight and then took that fat severance money like it was obvious he always would.
Well Mbeumo and Cunha alwyas been coach's priorities since last season lol Lammens was Amorim' find too Diallo's performance skyrocketed after Amorim, De Ligt likewise even Maguire had some consistency... I agree with the formation specially because yall aint got centre backs for that system but now that Martinez is back i assume that in half dozen games the team would reach its full potential.. In the end he was too stubborn so he definitely had it coming though i just dont see the point of sacking him on January i mean aint no coach in the whole globe coming up with some Asterix potion and make magical things with this squad, it is what is. Well lets just see center off the top Arsenal got Rice Odegaard Zubimendi Eze (cant go wrong with that) City got Cherki Rodri Bernardo Foden Chelsea Caicedo Enzo James Palmer; Liverpool: Szoboszlai Wirtz MacAllister Gravenberch and ManU with an antonishing Bruno Casemiro Ugarte Mainoo lol i mean qualifying to UCL this season way actually would be a bigger achievement than winning Europa League last year and yall still didnt win so.. Aint the coaches out there in the pitch in the end though you’ll probably gonna miss the sixth after all

There was no point to sacking him in January, he's only been gone because he decided to turn all petulant and Portuguese.
And we probably will miss sixth, precisely because we didn't capitalise on games where we had 75 minutes to win against 10 men at home.

What is this talk of 6th, it’s 5th that gets you UCL. That’s the goal.

Agreed, an interim can't really do wrong. If they can get Europa brilliant. If they can get CL then unbelievable. If they can't get either, so be it.
Just give the players and fans a bounce in morale and attacking football, remind people of what United is, what a special place it is to play in.
That sort of thing can sway summer targets too. If Elliot Anderson comes and sees Keano on the touchline and us playing the classic United way again. Nobody's excited to join the moody 5-2-3 man.

I don't see CL happening at all. There was an opportunity when Liverpool was looking s*** but they've mostly steadied the ship

Facts. I always enjoy this period of the united fandom. Everyone comes together behind the team, we get to paint a blank canvas on what could be in store with potential managers, and it’s really the best time outside of winning football. Lot of potential for the future now that the cloud is lifted.

Bro actually thinks Ruben was scouting goalkeepers in the Belgian league on his days off lol

Yeah Chelsea look way better than us I too felt like there is a gap here yesterday and I bet they pip us to 5th.

Didn't Amorim want the Villa keeper
