Xavi has a La Liga trophy under his belt as a manager with that piss poor of a Barca squad in 2023.

Understands the importance of central midfield too.

I don’t have a standout choice or anything but I’d be happy with Xavi

i think it will be glasner

There’s no chance we go for another back 3 guy

  • Ineos are worse than the glazers, two summers in a row you have the most obvious chances to sack the managers and you back them both for no reason and then turn on them anyway

  • this is not an alt

It’s time we go back to established options, we’ve missed out on Conte, Flick, Enrique, Ancelotti, etc over the years because we thought we needed someone new or ‘special’.

in what universe is xavi an established option

you foul for even mentioning him next to these names

  • The board have no plan to appoint until the summer....throwing another season out the window. How you support this decision is nuts

    The cycle continues

  • If Jason Wilcox knows so much about how a team should be set up why doesn't he sit in the f***ing dug out

  • Grenouille

Yeah I think that’s the sole reason why it would make a lot of sense after ten hag & amorim’s midfield shambolics

Hope not. I think he’s way less married to the 343 but he has a similar flaw to Amorim in that he excels without the ball than with it.

Can’t run that at a big club

  • INEOS aren’t gonna hire some hot-headed Spaniard who has achieved more in the sport than any of the board have, they’re gonna pull a BlueCo and hire someone from Nice or Lausanne

My head is genuinely on mars, not because of Amorim getting sacked but why he's been sacked

    I can't believe it

And knowing Glasner’s antics he likely wouldn’t last more than a week with this board. Dude loves s*** talking, very demanding manager.

    Lamemans
    Dalot — Heaven — Martinez — Shaw
Casemiro — Jarren Fletcher / Zoogarte
    Lacey — Zirkzee — Cunha
    Sesko

    My guess

Imagine if he pulls up with the Fletcher double pivot next game…

  • Xavi would probably do wonders for mainoo though at the very least

Imo he’s not y’all saviour by any means as many think but it might work out for a while i guess

His ending at barca he was diabolical though and should serve as a big red flag for the future at the very least, definitely raises a lot of questions. never seen a worse performing & less entertaining Barcelona team in my lifetime. They looked genuinely lost, with no plan whatsoever. Could argue he didn’t have the best team but definitely not bad enough to play that f***ing s***. Just look at how quickly Flick managed to turn things around — mainly thanks to a tactical revolution, not all that much spending (even though the squad did improve as well)

  • KingOfPop

Hope it was worth it for all the fear mongering about Amorim

    Already know it f***ing wasn't

I'm not certain that this structure of only being a head coach doesn't work, but making a decision like this and the confusion about his role is not gonna give any big manager hope

We are being set up to have another by and large unproven head coach come in, so anyone talking about big names is kidding themselves unless a big name wants to make a big bad decision

During the summer window Ruben was subtly saying the board didn't buy players for him by always stressing that they would work in different formations and with a different manager after he's gone, he stopped being so PR trained about it lately and was saying how he's been pressured to play a different formation because he's treated as a head coach not a manager, so no the board doesn't like 3-4-3
