In the same way it’s too early to make a final judgment just two games into the season, I don’t find it wise to dismiss a manager and multiple players saying they knew exactly how to exploit us just because they didn’t take as much advantage of it as they possibly could have.
? I didn’t dismiss it at all I said we’ve improved a bit in that regard (not enough of a sample size to say conclusively) and they exploited it less than previous seasons, they were right to point it out pre game in tactics sessions but it wasn’t the reality of the game on Sunday
A draw is a draw I’ll give you that, but they created one clear chance all game and are confidently saying they had “room to exploit”, on that chance they did because it was Bruno or Casemiro’s man that got on the end of it seemingly but we’re not as out to sea as we were last season
Well they had us pressed in our own box most of the second half because our midfield was non existent, and in the second half we didn't create a single chance from open play. So yeah you could say they had a pretty good gameplan. Its probably what we're gonna see against every non top 6 team this season.

Yeah, I worded my post terribly. What I meant to say was, I don’t think anyone should assume we’re better off than we have been previously just because Fulham didn’t take advantage of the supposed exploitation as much as they could have. Either way you cut it, it’s still too small of a sample size.
Anyway, I don’t know why I’m talking. I said I wasn’t gonna talk until after the Burnley game.

I’ll join you in the vow of silence until after the Burnley game 🙏
Taking out your best player of the past 5 seasons that created the most chances in the league every season besides 1 is not the magic bullet to fix everything
People lose it when he turns over the ball but it’s the price you pay for being a creative player, Bruno is not the problem, with that being said I have reservations about him in a midfield 2 with Casemiro but I think Bruno can work with a younger partner
I love Kobbie and maybe in a midfield 3 he could find a place but then you lose Amad, I hope to see Kobbie more this season but it feels like the times we’ll see him are when he subs off Mbuemo/Cunha and moves Bruno up
You think United will not be able to adapt to football without Bruno?
If Barca can get rid of Messi and still win trophies then trust me we will be fine without Bruno.

It’s a fallacy in football. Clubs sell their best player and adapt almost every single time.
The narrative that Bruno needs to be sold because he doesnt fit in Amorim's system is some bs, because nobody fits in this awful system. It's not weird that Bruno is wasting a lot of balls without contributing in attack when he's being played as a deep lying midfielder, it's not his position.
However, I think the argument that we should sell Bruno because he is almost 31 and 100 million pounds is an insane amount for a player that age is completely valid. We can survive without him (if we get a better coach at least).
Honestly think INEOS is just waiting for us to sell a player so that we can afford to pay Amorim's f*** off fee
Might get in the way of some of the agendas but pretty crazy
Well that tweet is obviously missing major context — Mainoo was a first team starter with MOTM performances in an FA cup final. He was a first team player in England’s Euro side, becoming the youngest player to play a semi final and then started a final.
The season just gone he played the equivalent of 18 league matches in minutes.
He has since the new season started, been snubbed for substitutions for Ugarte and two CBs. The manager then followed that up by stating in the interview following the game that Mainoo is only competing with our club captain and the player who isn’t ever substituted - the implication being he’s not starting matches of significance.
We’re not talking about a fringe youth player, or anything. Mainoo was an established first team player who would be coveted by many elite European football sides.
If this manager persists for a serious period time, Mainoo logically can conclude he holds no role of significance in this side. Mainoo is well within his rights to look elsewhere if that’s a serious possibility.

I think they usually get better. Look at PSG literally right now.
We could've gotten Frank
Frank wasn’t that obvious a pick, let’s see how it turns out.

I think he’s on a low wage / easy exit after the ETH fiasco

I’d ask to go on loan if I wa Mainoo. England are going to make the WC final this year id do everything to be part of that squad.
Zero percent chance he makes it to America at this rate.
Surely Saturday against Burnley is must win. Anything but a win and I think he may not be here come September 1st.

He was, I remember repeatedly saying we should go in for him after we lost the EL final and probably even before that

Always rushing to reframe it as a sudden attitude problem and ignoring the obvious
He don't love the club enough because he's not satisfied competing against Grimsby Town every fortnight
A massive reason no one succeeds at United is because the state the fans get themselves into
The extremities of absolutely everything is just insane
