As bad as Ole was he had the best post Ferguson vibes.

    • That night in Paris

    • Those first 3 months

    • Dog walking city & Chelsea every chance he got

    • lockdown United

    • Varane, Casemiro, Ronaldo, Sancho signings

    • Created the Bruno chants, oles at the wheel chants

All he needed was 1 trophy and it would be looked back on way more positively, the club felt so united.

1&2 second season Jose is a close second though.

Paris still our best post Fergie game, remember watching it on my phone in a restaurant on skiing vacation and basically screaming in there.

Professional sports is probably the only job in the world you can post pictures of you vaping or drinking and troll your employer on social media, and then end up in a better position / new situation as a result.

Any other profession, you’d be homeless or sued.

Fair yeah I think with him he didn’t realize how important perception and being on good side of media is. Can buy you years if done right or at least several more transfer windows. Then didn’t help that transfers didn’t pan out / style of football was given up on. He’ll probably get it right tho seems smart to know his mistakes and will want to prove the world wrong. Low expectations surely with them losing arguably their 2 best players and not really replacing them.

Yeah the media thing is crazy considering how slick Ruben is with it despite the lack of success.

You know the funny thing about giving up on the style of play is that Ruben seems to stick to his and gets bemoaned about it. I feel it’s a lose-lose either way.

I think Ruben has so much less success coming into England so the hate is starting to get louder. ETH was 90 seconds from a UCL final, and played the best football outside of Pep and like Klopp for like 4 years in a row. So him giving up was like a slap in the face of why we were all excited to have him here. For me at least that was probably the inflection point the interview where he said he can’t play Ajax football at United things were never the same after that in terms of fan support.

With Ruben like he’s coming from the third world so I personally don’t believe in weird tactics working in a league as competitive as England, and it’s been so so so bad so far. He’s got time though due to his media slickness so maybe he’ll start to show something before time runs out. I prefer that he sticks to his style tbh. So far my blemish on him really is that it appears we’re keeping the exact same squad that finished 16th. I thought he’d be ruthless and not cozy up to the Shaws Dalots Onanas etc that are not good enough.

Idk why we’re constantly comparing them like one was s*** and annoyed everyone, the other has been worse but has good vibe, and let’s see how he gets after it in season 2. @KingOfPop stop trolling

Highest of keys two cheeks of the same ass

  • How is this even possible, didn’t bro score like 0 goals last season?

66 injuries in 22/23, still finished 3rd, made two finals and won a trophy greatest ever?

Quite impressive really - we definitely had a bit of luck go our way for that spell

I wonder what on earth they were doing to rack up that many injuries though

I’m excited for a striker that will actually be in good positions. Bar is so low.

a Mainoo x Baleba midfield under a proper manager in a proper formation goes so hard

could be our midfield for the next 5-10 years

Agree I’d cash in on Bruno next summer tbh, he’s kinda wasted in CM. Hurts you almost as much as he helps.

I wish he’d tweak the formation to a midfield three and a front three so we could make the most of our attacking players.

Bruno has been our best player since he got here, it makes no sense to play him in a position that he’s no good in.

112 is insane for a player with one good season, 80 is the max, otherwise walk away now that there’s still time to look for alternatives

Thing is this signing and a GK signing means we very likely won’t need another big window for a good 5 years.

This team should have players with enough depth and specialisation and age profile to work with any manager and formation.

Finances are likely to be redirected to the new stadium after this window so may as well go big now and work with what we have for a while with 1 or 2 cheap/bargain depth signings and 1 or 2 academy gems to come through.

Yeah but 112 mil?? That’s more than was paid for Caicedo and Pogba, I must admit I haven’t seen Baleba play much but I also hadn’t heard of him before our fans started linking us to him a few months ago.
