Watkins feels like it's about to happen

It’s not like he was a prolific scorer for us in his first season WAITING ON A MIRACCCLEE so him being even worse in that specific area last season is easy enough to explain, but the rest really isn’t. This isn’t a one off either, you can go back to that first season and find a decent handful of games that’ll make you say “there’s a player there…” and just one season later it was all gone.

If we get Watkins and more importantly a GK, I could see a top 8 finish, get a midfielder and there is no excuse

I think Watkins is a solid plan b if this falls through or Newcastle start a bidding war for Sesko.

My only real hesitation with Watkins is the age and price/wages he’d demand.
