Selling Fernandes isn't the big deal everyone thinks it is imo. I'm probably sour from just how bad he was last night still but if it's the fee being talked about I think we'd be nuts not to take it

Yeah but this is the thing right, it’s easy to highlight when Bruno has a bad game because he’s the only player that can do something magical - so when he doesn’t turn up it sticks out like a sore thumb because no one else can show up instead

his greatest attribute is his downfall being extremely fit and never injured means he plays EVERY game so of course he is going to have off games bro played 60 odd games a season for the last 5 years

I think it would be sensible to sell if we get offered stupid money, but where is the evidence we will make good use of that money, another stinker of a window and a season without Bruno and we will be playing championship football very soon

just to sprinkle in some optimism, apparently we have a budget of 100m even without CL. selling rashford, antony, sancho, hojlund should get us minimum another 100m.

that's enough money for 3 forwards (cunha who we're buying in 20m installments, delap, mbuemo?), 2 CMs (who can ideally run AND pass, 1 GK.

could be even more if we ship bruno, garnacho, mainoo, onana, bayindir, zirkzee, casemiro but I think they'll be needed for depth.

This manager selling him would be genuine suicide, Fernandes (and Amad) basically carried him to the few wins he got this season

we absolutely should not sell him but what is his best position in this system? he's looked good as a CM when he keeps it simple and tidy but idk who his ideal partner would be. Ugarte makes sense on paper but ehh

I think he has to play CM even tho hes not that good at CM cause we have nobody else that can create or take the ball on the turn in midfield. + if Cunha does come then it has to be Cunha Amad in AM.
