that’s where he’s playing most of the time this season with that Larsen guy up top I think so you’re totally right, idk why but I just automatically assumed it’s striker related - hence why I thought that wouldn’t make much sense imo as I don’t really consider him as a typical striker, even though he may have acted like one last season lol

could be an interesting option now with rashford’s departure though, however he’s probably like a 50-60m+ signing and idk about that

Only concern with them signing another AM is that he might stick Bruno in the deeper midfield two, which leaves us very open.

I just saw that Amorim gave his players a day off which got me thinking.

Was part of Erik’s problem that he was a little too strict and too focussed on hard work? Not relaxed enough perhaps?

Like i don’t have the data to back this up but i remember often reading about how Erik would not allow for days off, especially after a loss.

And i get why he did it but it could also significantly hamper the team morale. Players dreaded how much they were asked to run. And from what i heard they trained really heavy. Small things to consider but probably that make a big impact as the season rolls on.
Also doesn’t help with injuries.

It’s super difficult speaking in another language but man I was rewatching a video he did with Sky and it’s so hard for me, random armchair fan, to be engaged with what he was saying. Let alone professional footballers when things weren’t working

I think the strict stuff can work, you just need to work it better than he did.

Yeah, having to listen to that charisma void run you into the ground for no reason would've got tiring quickly I imagine.

I remember after the Brentford game he went on that run with them which was fair enough but the "just run more" approach to every training session after wasn't ever going to go anywhere.

If it's true Spurs turned him down because of his communication, as we all know now, they dodged a bullet.
