looks like the standout DM choice atm. scott and rice in midfield would probably be the most physically imposing in world football, but we will need some creativity as well

Canāt believe tuchel dropped chilwell for Alonso. I get that heās doing the wing backs thing but chilwell I thought was having a good season from the few games I watched of the lampard snooze fest
Surprised you're talking about new goalkeepers when Hendo is here. Two great seasons with Sheffield Utd, young, english, homegrown, loves the club.
All the keepers mentioned will need some level of development, just as De Gea did at the start. Always at risk of flopping too. Dont see a reason not to invest that energy into Hendo's development. If it works we have a keeper for a decade plus at no excess cost. But bringing in someone like Donnarumma, free transfer or not, means completely blocking his path here.

Completely forgot about him, but youāre right about that. However itās a risk if they decide to sell David

To be brutally honest about Henderson development, I think it was a stupid decision to keep him here this season as he hasnāt been given enough game time. We already had Romero as back up, would have made more sense to loan him out again so that Dean could push for a place in the England squad for Euroās.
But now thatās in jeopardy, because he hasnāt played much. And I donāt know what the future holds for him here. I donāt see Ole ever completely dropping De Gea as number 1. It be best for Dean career if he moved on from us to establish himself as number 1 gk rather than waste on the bench every week.

I agree that a loan this season would have likely been best for him. Romero was/is a quality backup, probably the best backup gk in the league since he's been here and never complained about not being no. 1. Pretty s*** how Ole's treated him.
That said, I understand not wanting to send him to Sheffield Utd again given their success last season. Outside of them, my understanding was that there simply wasn't a great option out there for him. I'll never begrudge someone in those circumstances deciding to try and fight for a place. And no doubt he'll improve just training at a higher level and with the limited game time he's gotten here.
But I wouldn't write him off. He's a goalkeeper and only 24 in a month. De Gea's contract runs till 2023 I believe (with optional year). So I mean even if we somehow managed to sell De Gea next summer, Henderson could still easily be our no. 1 for the following decade.
Ole's passivity in regards to giving chances is really harmful though. Should 100% have been given a start against WBA after De Gea's recent mistakes vs Everton and Sheffield.
i thought hendo said he didnt want to go out on loan again?
Yeah he wanted to get playing time with us and we haven't really given him much

Yeah Dean himself wanted to stay this season, but thereās been rumours thatās heās not happy that he hasnāt been given enough game time. I just donāt see Ole ever dropping De Gea for Dean. Better for him to sign for a club who will give him a guarantee start. I want him to do well, you could say itās the same situation for a few players under Ole.

in the games hes played, he aint good enough to be our future #1 after de gea. also donna is only 22 and already better than dean.
