Keane would never get bullied in midfield like Fernandes did today. Giggs would never struggle to take on Zinchenko out wide like Mount did. Vidic would’ve defended those set pieces better than De Ligt. Ruud would’ve been in better positions than Hojlund.

I think his appointment was more of a change of direction than trying to save the season. We threw the season away the minute we let the bald fraud stay past the cup final.

Amorim has got us set up decently and you can see the style. We have just got a toothless attack and our best attacker is currently playing wingback as he does it better than anyone else.

He's def not good on corners but saying this while we've had De Gea in goal for 10 years is nuts

genuinely I think hes worse and I dont think im being recency biased. if de gea was a 3/10 on corners/crosses - lets just call it command of the area, onana is like a 2/10.

Onana had a very decent command of the area for more than half the game. He was coming out, dueling, punching, etc. Given how many corners we conceded and given how awful we are at them outside of Onana, conceding only two is a small victory.

He isn't great at it, and I can see a world where one argues that he should've done better on the second one, but I cannot in any way put blame on him for what happened tonight. And to say that it isn't recency bias is, with all respect, bullshit. De Gea was worse, as are many others.

I continue to not understand why so many detractors of Onana act like good goalkeeping isn't dependant on other positions, it so very much is, ESPECIALLY on set pieces.

Third game in for him and they had to OD on corners to get over the line. Don’t want to take anything away from them because they were absolutely lethal on the corners but can take a positive from that at least.
