Yeah probably, a narcissist in your team like that can do crazy damage. If you’ve ever experienced one in real life you know Ronaldo ticks all the boxes. Horrible signing

Most of the complaints mention how he’s won trophies but everything else sucks, I don’t see a scenario right now where Tuchel doesn’t end up the same way.

Just odd to see people cape for a supposed “winner” who struggled to win the Bundesliga with this super Bayern team.

It’s not just a “chat, are we kinda ass?” with ten Hag — it’s a “we are so bad we are breaking records at the club every month” level. We are in negative goal difference. Every game is struggle, we don’t know whether it’s going to be a comfortable win; a scrappy point; or a battering against us.

I get not rating Tuchel massively highly, I do — but I think he is substantially better than the level ten Hag has us right now.

The Bayern league title is more nuanced than that (and you know it) — Leverkusen did unprecedented things last year, and it was all but confirmed Tuchel was leaving as early as February.

Overall I rate Tuchel as like a “B tier” manager. He’s good, one of the better names you can get. But he’s far from perfect. But even B tier is eons above our current manager.

can you please explain why you rate Tuchel so highly and how he would be different from past hires at United?

I don’t rate Tuchel “so highly” — he’s a level below the elite and and a further level below the very best. But he’s one of the better managers available or who we have been linked with, no doubt.

This thread is underrating him a lot. Again, I don’t think he’s THAT good, but I think he’s a lot better than many are giving him credit for. Sneering at the thought of him replacing a horribly underperforming manager like we’re asking to take Stoke’s manager or something.

Revisit the start of his Chelsea campaign. The side he took over was comparable to what’s happening here and what he achieved there cannot be understated.

Does he have his flaws? Obviously. But flowers need to be given, the guy isn’t a complete nobody in the game
