I kind of realised that the sacking of managers is all on momentum, just lose enough times in a row and youâll get sacked. Sounds obvious, but itâs the reason that ETH didnât get sacked during last season despite finishing 8th, every time he was about to get sacked he got a good result in an important game. He could lose 4 of those 7 games but as long as he wins the Spurs game and wins one of the first two prem fixtures heâs keeping his job. However if he loses his next 2 prem games he is as good as done even if he might have won games later in this list. Itâs all up to luck is what Iâm saying, in your scenario he is definitely staying
This was a Man Utd loss not a Liverpool win btw
https://twitter.com/xGPhilosophy/status/1830288470881022332Lmao every time I see XG stats I get more convinced the stat is made up
Ugarte over Casemiro in midfield would allows us to defend higher up and minimises the issue of being one man down in defence with our defence being higher up and less of a gap
Build up deep is what he wants to do ideally long term once players develop but with Rashford (confidence player) and Garnacho (lacks quality) starting and it being against Liverpool, I think we couldâve focused on going long more to get more chances but we had better xG so our chance creation wasnât awful it was lack of quality that got us
Iâm not sure how much it changed but would like to see this for the second half, this tweet is a bit dramatic for a game where we had level chances and conceded 3 goals from shots worth 0.90 xG, felt mostly down to quality and legs not chance creation or tactics but open to counter
Whatâs scary are the leaks (definitely by ETH) that say he doesnât want ugarte

He immediately comes in and will be able to fix a few things, he'll cover more ground than Casemiro, he won't lose possession so often as he moves it on quickly, and he won't pass the ball straight to the opposition, but he's not a ball playing 6 which is what the ideal system requires, so I think he's a good addition for now but long term based on current ability might not be the answer
âOh if we get this we will be alrightâ âoh we just need a ball playing 6 we wil be alrightâ âthese 2 players will fix everything we will be alrightâ
thatâs never going to get you anywhere in the league, maybe in a one off game but facing 19 other teams plan a will not always work
the only game I can give him credit for tactically is that city game, but he had to do it to save his job. Every other game has been relying on player ability or just luck that the other team canât finish the chances
Heâs got to go man, I can finally see the light
Them 5 UCL trophies being put on top tryna take the shine away from his Bangkok Centenary and Carabao United cups

This is f***ing hilarious, the arrogance of that bald c*** and he gets completely ripped
Arne Slot breaking us down on Sky in like 30 seconds and then straight after watching ETH blame it on individual errors was absolute car crash TV. So embarrassing
The new manager is gonna be left with a similar mess to the one Ten Hag had when he came in, and then that manager is going to create his own kind of mess and the manager after that is going to come into a mess and make his own kind of mess, and the manager after that is gonna come in and make his own mess and then weâre gonna go bankrupt.

The hope is that the new manager is an INEOS pick whose signings will be club approved and fit the overall ethos of the club and not just the specific manager
That is how a functional system should work
Might go down as my least favourite United player. Canât stand him

Him breaking us down like that on live tv is crazy though bc all the other teams have to do is play the same way - we all know Ten Hag sticks to his âgame planâ (whatever it may be) at all costs. It might be a wrap by Christmas.

Watch city go on and replace pep this summer with the perfect next manager, while we fumble the bag again.
