Everybody in this thread is going through the 5 stages of grief with the Sterling swap
Some are at acceptance, some are at denial and anger
I’ll never reach acceptance, it makes no sense.
bingo
Tbf Fab is wording it as if Chelsea are forcing him to be part of the deal whereas we’re just trying to get rid of Sancho, so hopefully it doesn’t happen.
Obviously not sure if true but interesting to read nonetheless. Got a feeling muppetiers are full of s*** though

This Muppetiers account has never, but never had any legit info. It feels anyone can make a twitter account these days get a few followers and become an ‘insider’. Crazy to me that people still believe this kind of stuff and never look back at any previous ‘news’.

Sounds like bs to me. All the other signings scream Ten Hag, so I doubt Ugarte would come in and McTominay would leave if he really didn’t want either transfer to happen.

Yeah I thought Muppetiers were full of s***, definitely had it in the back of my mind

Upgrade season.. lol
Would do Sterling on a 2 year deal on average wages for Sancho only if Chelsea also pay ~30m. They have to pay us to take Sterling off their books, he's totally frozen out there whereas Sancho could conceivably play for us if he stays and is more of a financial asset.
I get Sterling isn't what he used to be but I don't think this version of Rashford, Garnacho, and Amad are getting us very far this season.

Yeah I think I agree
I'm not excited by the prospect of signing him by any means, but if he's basically free, offloads Sancho for the right price and is fairly cheap weekly then he might do a job for us short term (plus he should be driven to prove Chelsea wrong)
Were people crying about ‘one of our own’ Tom Cleverly leaving us back in 2014 like they’re doing with McTominay now? Cus I don’t remember
Ppl really want to keep mid on the books forever because it’s homegrown mid?

Don’t think so. Cleverely barely did anything. McCom has had loads of caps and scored huge goals.
