Idk about licha at lb he’s never played that for us. When Shaw is fit it’ll always be Shaw there unfortunately. Realistically we have no transfer budget, and are going to sign someone sure who has some potential, but will never ever be first choice. And we have to sign an actual replacement for varane which is a bigger priority than a backup for licha.

He may become a good cb, but it’s a luxury. Varane replacement and a Mainoo partner are way bigger needs.

i’m a big fan of licha but he isn’t. the reason why is because of the direction premier league football has moved in. it’s moved back to physicality and strength. it’s better to have someone like branthwaite as lcb who’s a better box defender. licha still plays at lb and it eases up on shaw when your schedule is horrendous this szn due to 2 more games before european knockouts

shaw can play there but he’s injured all the f***ing time. with how hectic the schedule is you gotta use licha there it’ll help because he’s very good on the ball and you can have him as an lcb in build up and invert dalot or invert licha yourself.

i think branthwaite he’s gonna start for you guys. i think if you start selling off players you can make money back. there’s plenty of dead wood and also if you get them off your books like varane or martial that’s 30m easily. you need an rcb but he’s an opportunity too good to miss. you do have various gaping holes you need a 6, a rw, proper depth and an rcb but i’d say branthwaite signing means you prevent city getting him and dominating. or even arsenal
