bailly is better when we play higher up, but lindelof is the preferred choice where we're just going to sit deep and counter. in general yeah I never like seeing lindelof start either, but I think those are the tactical reasons for Ole's decision.

yeah great pogba game, maguire shaw immense but lindelof and AWB were terrific too. AWB was good on the ball even the couple times he had the chance

Good performances by all our players I think next time we play them ole will know to deploy Rashford strictly down the left to take advantage of Trent pushing so far up. Other than that that was as perfect performance As we are going to get bar a goal or two

I dont class that anywhere close to a good performance tbh. Its a really weak Liverpool side in shaky form against what should be our best. They had us on the ropes the majority of the first half. Our passing was pretty terrible all game. Tons of little errors in clearances and pressing. Going forward we looked like we didnt have a clue. Created about two real substantive chances. Forwards were offside majority of the time. No real tempo, left loads of space for them to counter and stretch us. Basically were saved by that Firmino was so poor at finishing. About the bare minimum performance from us imo.

I disagree 'we were saved by firmino finishing'. they didnt create a single clear chance while we created 2 substantive chances. first half sure it was shaky, but we defended like animals and were very disciplined.

im fine with that performance+result. do the same against city/chelsea, and thats title winning mentality.

Great result, could’ve stolen extra points but at least the defense looked really solid. Strategy is working really good, but I don’t think it’s enough for a title.

Not the worst result a draw, but this game felt like our best opportunity to get something out of it. Considering Liverpool weren’t at there best. Then again we can go into the home game against Liverpool with a more stronger mentality of winning it
