Re: ETH. I think nobody that felt like he should be sacked leading into today, expected us to put up this type of fight, tactical masterclass, and ultimate win. As someone that’s said im tired of his bs, today did sway me to at least let him ride through Christmas.
The squad is a mess, there’s no good managers, we have no transfer budget allegedly, and are losing arguably our most consistent CB on a free. Going to be tough for whoever gets hired. Weird to have semi ominous dark cloud around this celebration.
Why the ever loving f*** did ETH finally figure out how to put a side together today
I’m not having injuries as an excuse either because Amrabat and Mctominay was our midfield today

That’s why I have zero interest in retaining him — it’s all rooted in his tactical set up. The injuries, glazers, whatever mitigating factors are small to me.
The fact that he persisted with a 4-1-5 formation until the last 4 games of the season lost me entirely
INEOS got one hell of a decision to make. On the one hand Ten Hag been doing dumb s*** all season and was 100% destined to be sacked after today, but now I feel like it would seem cruel to sack him after this performance. Especially cus I’m seeing that most of our (reactionary) fanbase is begging for him not to be sacked.
I could honestly respect both decisions

Yeah. It seems a bit harsh after today but then again why is it just today or the last 2-3 games we’ve used this no Rasmus formation!?
His own refusal to budge from what’s clearly not working & get the best of what he has in front of him has been maddening to watch & see people defend
Will he now get it? Or will it be more of the same? One hell of a decision to make

I'd give him the summer to get some of the deadwood out and re-evaluate in the fall. If we're still out here losing 3-0 away to Brentford and getting struggle wins against Qarabag and Young Boys Bern in November, then yeah give him the sack.
I'm just tired of the constant 2-year turnover
This is why I don’t have any arsenal friends irl
And yet again, we still had a better season than Arsenal

Wild. They literally ruined their whole culture by focusing on the top 4 ‘trophy’ in 2000s instead of actual silverware.
Ok so now that the season is over…
I’m pretty sure I made a post back before the season started where I said, even with improvement I thought there was a likely chance our league position would fall. We got extremely lucky last year by virtue of three of the big six stinking up the joint. Under the assumption that those three teams would rebound, it would make it just that much harder to make it back into the UCL. And then… once we realized 5th place UCL wouldn’t be going to the Premier League (partially our fault but the entire league disappointed in Europe) it became obvious that Europa would be the best we could do.
I don’t want to make light of the league form, it was horrific, no other way to describe it and it certainly can’t be ignored… but knowing we won a trophy at the end, I can find peace with this season. I prefer this to the alternative of finishing 5th-6th and getting into the Europa League with no trophy.
Still off a high. I give bruno alot of stick but he showed out today. See you next season boys

he’s been putting in mega performances lately
Unlike the glazers i think Ineos are trying to build a connection with the fans and will be aware of the backing ETH is getting from the fan base after yesterday, makes me think he might get to Christmas atleast
Yeah this pass was ridiculous
De Bruyne subbed off in the second half btw, levels
