Nobody gets upset when you point out s*** fam, everybody is doing it. Pointing to other people is becoming the norm in this world, everybody from the left to the right is doing it and im getting quite sick of it.
But this a football thread and not one on world views so this the last post imma make about it.
I get it; a better world starts with you.
There is truth to that but itās not that simple.
If we put responsibility where it is due then we can start comparing managers and talk about it from there.
For starters managers with a great backing and structure above them can be held to account far better.
The manager holds HIS responsibility but it falls apart if the people above donāt take theirs cus it all trickles down and that responsibility should be assigned to the UPPER echelon, which we donāt like to do in society cus we feel powerless against big capital and we wonāt fight for our values out of fear of losing something else (so those people fingerpointing you mentioned are not even really bout that life ultimately)
Instead we find it easier to moan and complain about the coach not taking āhis responsibilityā when it is clearly a warped perspective on the whole
Is it just me or has football fallen the f*** off man. Liverpool is going for f***ing Slot, Bayern canāt even get Rangnick in, weāre over here struggling to get rid of Ten Hag because of lack of a decent alternative. Feel like we got around 5 good managers atm in the whole world.
Meanwhile on the player side weāre discussing a Balon dāOr for Foden Bellingham or Kane lol. Like it might be nostalgia but like less than 10 years ago I feel like there were so many good players and teams walking around.
Itās lost a lot of its lustre for me. Maybe Iām getting old but I find the matches and new rising stars very dull these days.
I donāt really want to write an essay on this bc Iāll get carried away but I miss when we all knew less about what was going on - transfers, agent fees, rumours, twitter fingers. The spontaneity of news coming from within a club made it feel more special.
I also miss when players had more freedom to play their way. Weāre coming up on 20 years since we had a Brazil national team that felt like a true Brazil. But now they transfer to Europe at 16/17 and have their eccentricities and flair coached out of them

Too much money to be made and that formula rarely favors the risk takers

Agreed with all of the above.
Weāre finishing 10th lmao
we have no fit CB???
Cas and Amrabat at the back vs palace
Mateta hattrick incoming
Anybody equating the left and the right doesnāt understand oppression, but thatās not United thread talk.
Mateta hattrick incoming
depends a lot on whether eze is fit imo . was out for the fulham game with a knee issue (and it showed) but i reckon he might be ready. him and olise are just a joy to watch together tbh, shame that these two had to reunite after injuries just in time for the anfield match lol.
these two together and especially ezeās distribution make even a bang average striker such as mateta shine, just imagine if these two had someone proper and more lethal up there with them, theyād be absolutely menacing (if healthy and fit)
heās in a good form though so i canāt hate, wouldnāt surprise me if he manages to score one tomorrow i guess

That Eze goal was wild, they were doing triangles around you lot, with Maggy out weāre getting cooked I think. That fitness coach from arsenal needs to be thrown off the top of Old Trafford.
for me btw, its the fact that they're all just best friends and dont give a f*** as much. any challenge or hiccup, just b**** to the media or social media. going to rivals birthday parties.
its the same in most sports. look at F1 they all secretly know its a joke that they are paid this much and can't take it seriously to be actual rivals.
wasn't like this until 2010s.
Bundesliga is not serious man
I canāt believe theyāve reached a point where theyāre letting Thomas Tuchel walk and are trying to replace him with vastly inferior managers like Lopetegui, Rangnick, ten Hag, Schmidt etc.
Bundesliga is not serious man
No way somebody is choosing West Ham over Bayern
Yāall really donāt grasp how important a good football/business structure is for managers.
Bayern, Ajax and United are all poorly run clubs atm making them vastly unpopular for most serious managers (well United is atleast going in the right direction rn)
Nobody wants to risk taking the brunt of criticism for poor management higher up

And Liverpool, donāt they have a decent structure? They had to go with their 5th choice as well.
There is just a shortage of good managers atm, plus I feel l like good mid level managers like Emery, De Zerbi or Lopetegui arenāt inclined to go to Barca or Bayern anymore because they probably earn similar wages here in the prem while itās 100 times less scrutiny.

Barca is poorly run as well. Great example btw.
Then you have Liverpool which is fairly well run albeit somewhat budgetting aggressively at times.
Yes there are less options nowadays on the manager market and yes the amount of scrutiny plays a role but you simply cannot dismiss the way a manager will judge a club structure in his decision making
