I am interested in seeing how Ole rotates the squad for City and Watford cup games. Need players like Bruno rested and give more game time to VDB and other squad and youth players for these games.

A cup final would be great, but the league that’s got to be the focus. I haven’t seen us be competitive in the league since the Fergie days. Even under Mou we were like 20 points behind City in 2nd. At least this time round we are actually level on points with the leader

I have no idea why he wouldn't do this. Can you imagine were we would have been if we had a good DoF running the football things last 8 years with the money we spent. It's a win win for everyone. Fans would be happier because we would have won more, Woodward would be praised more because his job would only be the business side which be does well and the Glazers would even have more money because we wouldn't have spent so much trying to correct silly mistakes.

yeah good point - not sure what the reason has been for not getting a football person in the role all this time. your logic makes sense...but clearly there is something else behind the scenes that has not swayed Glazers/Woodward to do it. and I dont think its the extra salary a DOF would cost.

I wish woodward/glazers would just publicly do an interview and say why/the thinking process behind not having a DOF and letting woodward do 'both' roles. if fans knew the real reasons behind the 'why', it would probably remove a lot of friction + every time things go s***ty, woodward would get less death threats.

Hope we go all out tonight, winning the league cup would be such a confidence boost for the squad that it might propel them in the title race
