Renewing Varane shouldn't be some slam dunk decision. He's almost 32 and prior to this season has missed a lot of games through injury. He's also on extremely high wages.
The question with him and Maguire is just one of can you get a good enough fee to then reinvest in a younger player with a higher ceiling.
We need to recruit ahead of, or alongside, players like Varane
Talented proven winners - the squad's paper thin so 1:1 replacements isn't the solution
Varane is a good enough player to keep - it's a different deal to what he's currently on, will he accept it - all valid questions
In reality we need to hire the 22-25 year old Varane, and keep the Varane we have now as a rotation/bench option
Pretty simple to me to keep him around.
If he was someone like Lindelof, then yeah, he can just go and not being there is a positive
Rather kms than watch United under this moron

Idk how you can watch Sir Kobbie Mainoo this season and not see how good he is.
Easily our best player since breaking through. Hojlund second but has been injured too often.
Crazy if Southgate does not include him for euros.

Agreed. Transition Varsne to rotation option and bring in a young buck that can start / learn from him.
Mainoo having casemiro I’m sure is a positive for his growth this season.
and hearing that some United legends are endorsing the guy... oh boy.
He’s made the atmosphere of the England camp vibey but yeah that’s not enough to lead United. He’s David moyes tier.

he didn't do s*** lets be honest, its just how football is nowadays the rivalry isn't as tense as it use to be for these players - they all buddy buddy on and off the pitch

Good point yeah. Got rashford and van dijk going to each others birthdays etc lmao
So much money in it nowadays the rivalry only exists on the fan side at best

Harsh on Moyes imo

Just depends if Varane accepts the role and what comes with it.
Cool, calm, Kobbie. Top, top lad! 👏🏼
plays, acts and even sounds like a 28 year old in his prime
