Feel like that's the reason why Dan James is looked at somewhat favourably by fans. Feel like every other winger United have signed since like 2015 has lost any semblance of explosiveness nearly instantly. Like I get that Memphis, Antony and Sancho were going ham against Dutch and German uncles most of the time, and they were all fairly slow, but their levels of tepidness have been insane.

Peak of my United fandom in terms of investment was probably like 2014-2018. Before I wasn't able to watch every game live and after I've tried to get invested in other things. But those years are burned into my mind. Honestly though I have vivid memories of pretty much every season since 2008. Probably best for your peace of mind you don't remember some of the bullshit over the years.
