He definitely tries to play a high risk, high reward style but with the team we have and 3 essential parts of that team not available, he can’t just try and play the same style and hope that it works.

  • Feb 25, 2024

There’s points where we’re ahead and the team still play like that. There was on game recently where we were a goal up and everybody went up for a corner, and I just don’t understand taking as much of a risk when we’re already ahead.

Being a good manager is managing a game and adapting your style to the team/the game itself and the players you have, which Ten Hag doesn’t seem to understand.

Look ETH knows if he doesn’t get 5th he’s done. Simple.

Carabobbins final was a year ago and even that was a dogshit performance. It really might be over a year since United have actually had an actually good performance.

    Lukewarm I would say.

    For me:

    • Varane: could stay on ability. I think his aerial presence and general leadership at the back is still decent enough, he’s just too injury prone. Can’t rely on him when we’re playing 2-3 a week in Europe.

    • Casemiro: the system is making him look worse than he is but I do think it’s time for him to move on. He gets passed by too easily this season and is quite cumbersome. I think he’s also too wild on the ball.

    • Fernandes: I think our fans are finally seeing the light on this guy; I’d say it’s like a 60/40 split on people wanting to keep him. I’d get him gone first, personally.

    • Rashford: most want him gone. Probably like a 65/35 split against him. I’m on the fence, really. I think he’s horrible in the buildup and when he’s not scoring or assisting he’s genuinely useless, but the saving graces for me are he is an academy kid and he has history of showing up for big games

But overall, wouldn’t lose sleep if any of them leave this summer.

Yeah agreed. I think Varane and Casemiro have a better argument to staying than Fernandes/Rashford do

Plus, I think cashing in now on them will do more for improving the side than removing Varane and Casemiro would

That wasn’t a bad performance, if anything it was a mediocre performance from us and a bad performance from Newcastle.

It was the start of the fall off though.

My only thing with getting rid of players like Rashford, Bruno, Varane, and Casemiro is that they’re four starting 11 players. We need a new CB, RB, and LB already without having to replace those four. It’s not realistic to get rid of all four at once imo

Yeah definitely. All for getting rid but we still need to replace them, as bad as they are
