Garna is still very young and very raw
Gets bodied on every duel, end product not great (mental to say this after the Everton goal I know) but has shown moments of brilliance
Casemiro and Mainoo is a must. Everyone was convinced Casemiro was washed playing on his own while Fernandes plays like the road runner
Cassy and Mainoo and I'm a bit more confident
Think my ideal XI right now based on availability / soon coming back players
Onana
AWB - Varane - Maguire - Shaw
Casemiro - Mainoo
Antony - Fernandes - Marcus
Hojlund
Don't get me wrong there's a heap of players I hate there but I think Fernandes needs to be more forward and stay there, Marcus is s*** but better than Garna on most points yesterday (he should be rotational at his age/ability)
The one time we don't have an aging world class striker is the time we and Hojlund needs it most
ETHs insistance on his CBs being left/right footed is a terrible excuse - we won the treble with 2 same footed CBs
I'd also stop this absolute nonsense passing it around the back s*** he insists on
I’d put Martinez in over Maguire but for the rest I agree
On a more positive note
No excuse to not be starting him from now on
Arsenal Europa-ing their way to a UCL quarterfinals smh.
City too but that's expected.

All the match ups are horrid tbh

Personally, would play Rashford off the right and Garnacho on the left. Garnacho at least tries to take people on.
And Martinez over Maguire. Idk why it's being understated but Martinez x Varane were solid for us last season (aside from the obvious) and our season dipped after Martinez got injured.
Such a shame what’s happening with Varane, seems like he’s being forced out but yesterday showed how defensively he is miles ahead of everyone else
Varane will be fine, hes brilliant whenever hes playing on his regular level
I’d put Martinez in over Maguire but for the rest I agree
Yeah this is more shorter term - isn't Martinez out for another 2 months at least?

I thought he came back end of this month as well? Idk how long Maguire is injured for btw but I thought that would be at least a month.

He was back in training last week, no?
Supposed to be back in January.
I know they're getting on but unless we get hefty fees Idk why we'd try and sell Casemiro or Varane in January. Varane so we can get Todibo is at least understandable but Todibo isn't guaranteed to be class so it's a gamble.
Just sell Sancho.

Todibo seems solid tho, fast paced, can defend higher up the pitch and has younger legs + more of a progressive passer
Sancho is a bad asset for United, don’t see why anyone would take a gamble on someone so entitled
Been almost completely ignoring the rest of the CL with the United f***ery every game. Hopefully I can get into it now that torture is over.
Arsenal aren’t currently United tier ass in Europe but still think heritage will come into play. Not quite as worried as those years City or Pool were in like every final (aka the last half decade)

I dont know either, but there will be a club taking the gamble thinking they can change his attitude. And they will fail.
Liverpool had like 25 shots. If that’s small chances of 0.1 xG per shot it’s still 2.5 in total
I guess that’s how the nerds calculate it yeah. To me 25 shots that would only go in if Onana does a special, is not ‘dominating’. Whereas 2 chances that are 1:1 with keeper or nearly 1:1 etc or a cut back for a wide open shot, those are the real chances.
Idk nerds just rely on all these stats s*** was more fun 5 years ago.

Napoli Barca will be a blast. Atletico Inter is even but not a blast that will be be 1-0 on aggregate lmao.
But Kvaradona and Napoli imo are gonna beat Barca.

My FM special is always to sell Varane for 80 euro to Saudi. Buy Antonio Silva or Diomande for 80. Sell Case for 80. Buy Joao Neves for 80.
Too bad it’s Murtough in charge and not me.

Yeah there are some major flaws with the xG metric

The way I got Antonio Silva as well
For like 40m though. I usually send Maguire and Lindelof away first though.

no doubt, the whole team needs to be sold off except mainoo and maybe nacho.
my 4-4-2 UCL/PL double 2026 united team are the bees knees
onana/henderson (brought him back for quota purposes / he's decent)
vanderson/dest - scalvini/sutalo - silva/guehi (palace got relegated) - baro/oliveira
chiesa/sancho - neves/bruno - mainoo/random austrian guy forgot name - garnacho/hwang lee chan
van persie/rashford - hojlund/guirassy

Don’t think many big clubs would be dumb enough to take in a poor attitude player. Only United ever is.
