At the end of the day ETH biggest mistakes been him taking so much s*** from people like Murtough. Accepting things like Evans on a free is a sign of weakness

I’ve always said I really, really want him to be the man for the job.

I’d love it if he was. Just based on what we’ve seen so far, he’s obviously not + has been proving me right consistently now for a while.

When we do come good, in whatever year, whatever manager that is, just know it will be in spite of our ownership unlike everyone else who’s done it and that will make it so much sweeter

He did not prove you right last season. You were extremely critical even then but you were looking in such a narrow vacuum. You cannot pinpoint a few thrashings as indicative of the whole. We had a good to great season.

    This season disaster yes.

And a lot of the players that are now getting s*** on were great last year.

Believe what you want. I tried to tell you when you lose as badly as we did as often as we did it’s not all sunshine and roses. Where we are now was always coming as a result.

Finishing third when you get demolished out of the UCL as fast as humanly possible as a result is dead.

No surprise, we’re in the s***. Almost like if you didn’t have your head in the sand because he won a tinpot Carabao you could see it coming.

You can't use this seasons current failures to mitigate last seasons success. It's not a thing.

We won a trophy, reached the FA cup final, came third. That is a good season by any barometer.

It's just about building the foundations of success. It's why heavy defeats in a vacuum is not a valid source of judgement. The whole point of building a team is building an ability to bounce back and compete throughout a campaign. They did that.

There will be heavy defeats in the teething seasons for any new team. There will be odd results. Lackluster performances. But you are building a team and a mentality. You accept it and instill trust. If that gets undercut time and again then sure you cut players out. But when starting afresh, building something new, you cannot just alienate your best eleven time and again on the basis of bad results.
