i dont think he'll go back to madrid yet. PSG he couldve had that job and said no thanks. Juve? idk italy is not really serious anymore. germany is for german coaches. he can go to chelsea once poch is sacked, or united. only two options.

or of course france national team.

onana needs to be rested for a bit. like just for his mental health at this pt. you gotta let that new guy play after this performance.

    dude needs to recalibrate.

his career has a hole. that hole is never playing in england. he can rectify it by bringing us back to the top. also he loved scholes, so why not.

They probably will sack him cause it’s the easy decision, which they always love to make, but we should stick by him til at least the end of the season, ideally longer for his ideas and team to take proper shape

The way Salah has been making assists this season as well, it's going to be brutal

If Mount could get a consistent run of games at the 10 I think he'd really cook.

Easily our best midfielder since returning from injury.

New manager bounce would give more of a guarantee of avoiding that, but longer term I think we would be in a worse situation with a new manager with the same group of players and owners, basically going back to square one without letting him at least get out his vision on the pitch for an extended period

I don't think he has shown his best, even when we were on a run last year it didn't seem indicative of how he wants us to play, which I think has been shown in how we've set up the last couple weeks designed to control possession and dominate (albeit not to great result), I think it'll take time but would be worth it

Sacking a manager to get a few quick results is what we do every single time, I don't have faith in it anymore unless it comes with some longer term commitment to make something of this team

Yes, he and Hojlund the only real positives the last few games

But we don’t sack managers any more often than any of the other big clubs.

Madrid, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Juventus, Milan, Chelsea, Arsenal — all have had as many if not more managers than us over the past 10 years or so.

I also completely disagree with the idea that Hag wants to play possession football. You just simply cannot play possession based football with a midfield three of Casemiro, Bruno Fernandes, and Mason Mount. That’s sheer negligent lunacy thinking from ten Hag if he thinks he can.

If anything, I think he went the other way and pushed into us being a transition team as those are the only strengths of our half decent players (Fernandes; Rashford) — rather than setting us up as a team who cohesively gel.

You can talk about leaving a mark and getting time (I’d argue the length of time he has been given is more than enough and over the course of it I’ve been thoroughly ambivalent over our playstyle) but the simple fact of the matter is it’s a results based game.

6 losses out of 10 thus far. Dead last in a CL group (4 points behind the team we will be challenging for second). Unless things miraculously change, the writing is on the wall.

On the first point you're right, but it is still what we do to get a tune out of players that are either playing out of form, not adapting to a system, or "turning on the manager", Arteta in his second season was in a worse position than we are and got more time, maybe that wouldn't even work out for Ten Hag but it's what I think we should do

the midfield it seemed like he wants to play is with Amrabat and Casemiro at defensive midfield (albeit inverted full back but still making up for what Casemiro lacks at his age), Mount and Bruno at double 10's, it's how we set up against Crystal Palace and we had lots of the ball in both games, haven't watched Galatasaray in full so can't say for that, but I think there could be something to it that I would like to see get more of a run out

Either way its up to the owners now, I hope he gets til the end of the season, it's a "results based game" but that doesn't mean you can't persevere sometimes

Bro needs more rest whether he likes it or not, he's had these kind of numbers three years in a row. No wonder he looks so unfocused in half our games. And there is no real reason we can't rotate him more because we also have Mount for that position now.

Definitely Hojlund is scoring too much, leading to poor results. Bring Tony back

Geez, that VAR audio is nuts. How on earth do they not have defined terminology and a clear checklist to follow by this point. Madness to think all this time they're literally just rambling random s*** back and forth. Every team needs to push for those two changes and for the audio to be available to all in real-time.

Tbf didn't he play like a full 90 against Reading in the FA cup last year?

Ten Hag loves him so much he's killing him.
