You're conflating training with on pitch.

Mistakes/poor performances on the pitch are one thing, it happens. But every managers requirement above all is a player turns up at training and works hard.

Now I know youre inevitably gonna say 'yeah but on the pitch is where it matters' etc. But again you would be missing the crux of this all.

It's not just about being positive, nothing at this football club works particularly well so singling out people in particular feels a bit nasty when everyone plays a part (of course Glazers the biggest part of all)

No one is “singled out”. There’s a lot of people at blame. The manager. Lots of players. Just because we have the glazers doesn’t exclude them from rightful criticism - especially when they set negative records on an almost weekly basis at this point.

Obviously training well doesn't exclude you from criticism. But a manager has to be aware how to get the best out of players, how to build morale, how to manage a dressing room, etc. Part of that is knowing when to criticise, when to escalate training (the time they all had to do that massive run the day after a match), when to drop a player, when to be bite your tongue about a player to the media (Maguire, De Gea), etc.

You're taking such a narrow vacuum view of this all that you're missing the bigger picture.

It is as simple as Sancho just apologising. It doesn't matter if you think/he thinks/12% of the Utd fanbase believe Ten Hag to be in the wrong. It just does not make a difference. As it stands he is the manager of Manchester United and that's that. You suck it up, apologise and move on.
